From Spring Lake Park to NDSU to Vandy

Just seems weird that teams are ok just handing the starting spot to a transfer, which all P4 teams are basically doing at the QB position. Basically running it like the NFL where you play your investment with no competition.

Badgers promote the ODU QB as "Welcome QB1"

I know we do the same and our QB1 is a HS 3rd year guy in Lindsey, but why pay the $$$ for 1 when you could pay same for two and probably still get a decent competition. They can't leave after spring ball anymore. I guess QB's only come for $$ and guarantee of no competition.

I'm old enough to remember wisconsin bringing in 4 transfer QBs, then 3 of them obviously don't start, and all 4 of them could barely win a Big Ten game.

Or how their 2024 'QB1' played last season at SMU

We'll see how long the ODU guy holds that label.

But at least they were all rated above Drake Lindsey in the NCAA '26 video game

Perich is worth much more in MN than IA. He's a celebrity in MN but just another player elsewhere. I think it's either a big dollar program for him or stay (if his $$ are even still on the table).

You almost have to take a bunch of your old class/players in some cases to fill the mass exodus, especially with a shorter transfer portal window and the early signing period for high school kids.
