All Things 2025-26 College Basketball Coaches Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

McCallum has kind of done what St. Thomas did by bringing an entire roster up to each new location.
My apologies for missing your point. I’m not understanding the UST comparison. Each new location?

I think UST has similar success early due to bringing system guys to the next level and being able to compete right away. McCullum has don the same. Will be interesting to see how Iowa/McCullum competes for recruits and on the court without Stirtz as a safety talent on the court.

Both schools have really good HC's

He might very well like it in Ame$, but Chapel Hill offer$ a lot of thing$ that Ame$ can't match
Too blue collar for UNCheat, they are too inbred. Knowing them, they'll dig up Eddie Fogler or George Karl lol

Thanks, appreciate the clarification.

Thanks. You’ve generated a nightmare for me. I picked Eddie Foglers second seeded South Carolina team to win it all and they might have been the first 2 to lose to a 15 in tournament history. But I’m not bitter. 😳

multiple options for Ben. he overlapped as assistant at UNI with Green, or could join Jacobson at Utah St.
Wasn’t it Jacobson who gave the two thumbs up to Coyle to hire Johnson? As I recall, there was confusion reported on whether Jacobson was being interviewed for the job or not and then drifted to our Ben.

Solid guy and solid coach. Leadership in the same place for that long is not easy. And the Valley has become a farm system for the money schools. Hard to swallow for someone around for that long.

Tommy Lloyd staying at AZ and inked a new deal, UNC is in shambles. Looks like Dusty May or Billy Donovan are there top choices now

Getting Dusty May or Billy Donovan hardly puts a program in "shambles."

Lloyd made the right decision, but UNC will be OK.

Go Gophers!!

Not sure why May would abandon Michigan. Lots of money, better conference, etc.

Donovan if he’s hip on going back to college maybe. Not sure the college path in this era is that attractive. Constantly recruiting.

I agree with both points, I think UNC is going to struggle with this one. I find it amusing, wish Dook was worse off too

Been reading the tarheel forum, one user commented how Minnesota has a good coach flying under the radar, they liked what Niko has done with Cade.
We know how much influence posters have! I’m getting called by the athletic department looking for my insight all the time. I’m sure you as well. 😂

I’m pretty sure that’s how our hockey coaches were hired.
