All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Really?

That’s not what Jon K thinks/write in his column. It seems to me, the only reason they have a chance this year is because of Rudy’s D and that’s also why they made it to the conference finals the last two seasons.

Saying that the the four time DPOY doesn’t have more value than a overpaid SG is hilarious. See the bolded below from Jon’s article.

Gobert is far too important to the Timberwolves’ hopes of finding another level in the playoffs to ignore. As Finch has said, he is a walking top-five defense unto himself, and the numbers have borne that out this season. When he is on the floor, the Wolves give up a staggering 11.8 fewer points per 100 possessions than when he is off, per Cleaning The Glass.

The Wolves also score 3.6 more points per 100 on offense when he is on the floor, which is not bad. His screening and offensive rebounding are additive properties to the offense, but they come with a ceiling that needs raising.
I was talking about Julius and responding to whatever the intention was of your comment about Beal. Nice 500 words about Rudy, though.

Anthony Edwards still out tomorrow, but Ayo Dosunmu pops up as questionable because of right calf soreness, per the team’s injury report.

Lakers at Pacers tonight. (Really don’t see the Wolves getting that 3rd spot, but what do I know?)
Mavericks on the road playing the Nuggets. Denver also played last night in Phoenix and won, gained a 1/2 game separation on Minnesota.
Wolves hosting the Rockets at 8:30

Ha! I stopped watching with at about the 3:30 mark to go to sleep.
Man oh man, I missed a lot of action.

I'm OOT so I was streaming it. When they got down by 13 I was totally pissed so I shut it off and started doing other stuff. Pissed at the wolves, pissed at Scott Foster for making himself the center of attention as usual, pissed at Julius for dragging the team down with his ball hogging ways. A few minutes later I got a text from a friend at Target, "Fantastic Game!!"

Most of all, I'm pissed at myself for missing a fantastic comeback.

Quite a bizarre viewing experience.

I saw most of the 1st half while I was at the gym. Did not pick it up again until the 3:02 mark of the 4th Q with the Wolves up comfortably by 10, only to see a 4 pt Rocket possession and the lead squandered.

The end of reg, was nuts with the fouls, Wolves stop and then no call on the try of the winning hoop.

As OT began, I stepped away to get ready to crash for the night. Picked it up again just after Conley hit a 3 to cut it to 10, under 3 minutes to go. Stayed up for the finish.

Did that really happen or was it a fever dream?
