All Things 2025-2026 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Detroit beats a depleted OKC squad tonight. Thunder without SGA, Holmgren, Hartenstein, Jalen Williams, Caruso, Mitchell and still made a game of it. (Cunningham with 49 assists in his last 4 games)
Spurs won tonight and are now only 2 back of the Thunder.

Leonard listed as questionable for tonight’s game, so he will probably play and get his over 30 points.
Wolves appear to have everyone available.

Or Leonard sits and they lose, but they go into Denver on Sunday and thump the full strength Nuggets because that's how this team operates.

They seem to be coming up with just enough support for Ant to win these games against mediocre opponents, though it's rarely Randle anymore. Credit to the Clips for playing "playoff" defense. Credit to the wolves for grinding out another road win at the right time of the year.

Ant's hero ball at the end of these games is thrilling, but it's not sustainable. He's probably a top three player now with a top one ego. Other teams will use his ego to their advantage in the playoffs.

I never would have imagined Kris Dunn as a 10 year veteran in the NBA. He has absolutely no offensive game. Never did. I think he's been in the rotation of every team for which he's played. You never know.

He made the shot, but getting in your coach's face after he told you to try to pass is a bad, bad look.
It's a players' league. Heat of the moment in a tight game. Ant creates the value and he knows it.

What's more interesting to me is Ant always credits others in his post game interviews. It has been a long time since I've seen him toss a bouquet Randle's way. And Randle has always been a Finch guy. Even if the wolves are an early out in the playoffs, Finch has enough equity to survive the disappointing end to the season. My guess is Randle is out this summer.
