Wow. Drake actually put up a fight against a team with 63 scholarships.

The Minnesota State-Mankato Vs. Bemidji State game will take place Dec. 7. The winner will go on to play the champion of Super Region 3.

Playing in the game to decide SR3 is Ferris State (Mich.), winner of the national title in 2021 and 2022, against Harding (Ark.), the defending national champion.

St John's trailing 38-31 - Johnnies have ball at opponents 26-yd line with 4:17 left in game.

Tie game 38-38. 3:31 left. St John's defense needs a stop here - but Susquehanna has moved the ball very well in 2nd half.

Susquehanna kicks game winning FG on last play of game. They play @ Bethel next Saturday in quarterfinals.

For those who watched St. Johns game, what can you tell us about Susquehanna? Curious as they will face Bethel in Quarters.

I thought Susquehanna was just stronger at the line of scrimmage. Also more balanced on offense - nice mix of run and pass, and their QB is a good running option. They did give up a lot of passing yards to St John's. Hard to evaluate their run defense, because St John's doesn't run.

Mankato beats Bemidji 27-23, advances to D2 semifinals. Bemidji reached Mankato’s four in the last seconds.

Minnesota State-Mankato will now advance to the semifinal and face Ferris State (Mich.). Ferris defeated the defending national champion Harding (Ark.) and won the title themselves in 2021 and 2022.

There were several upsets today. Seems like there's a lot more parity at the top of D3 unlike a decade ago where Mount Union and Whitewater dominated every year with a few others like UMHB or North Central popping here and there. I get the feeling more schools are placing more emphasis on athletics, and especially football, to try to attract male students. Maybe? Regardless, it makes the playoffs more interesting with new names popping up every year.

I had no idea where Susquehanna was even located until looking it up yesterday.

I logged in to ESPN+ just in time to miss that game. Sounds like it was a great one.

I figured TommyBoy would be on here gloating already.

Told you so, Big Red is dead. The head coach paid to have their 6th year QB return in order to win a total of 2 post season games, one being Northwest Bible College, and throwing 4 INT against Wartburg two years ago, to loose in the play-offs. SJU needs to reload with a new head coach and Offensive Coordinator. The OC did not run the ball 1 time in the second half. You win games with balanced teams, not throwing the ball 45 times a game against St. Scholastica. Go Bethel.

Yeah, I didn't see the game but saw the box score. Johnnies ran the ball...wait for it...9 times the whole game. You'd think they'd try running it once in a while just to burn clock, wear down the opposing defense, and help out your own defense.

And yeah, the Fighting Baptists have a good chance to get to the semis before running up against North Central.

I’m hoping for an all cowboy semifinal FCS both South Dakota schools, the hated Bison and Montana St. The last time the Coyotes played UC Davis in the playoffs was 1986 on the way to the national championship game (and getting drubbed by the Bison) and Davis quarterback who was sacked 4 times and picked once was Chris Peterson who gained fame at Boise State and Washington as their head coach. He was a shifty little shit with a quick release.

What is a cowboy semifinal?

And now a pic by Bethel, things looking good for the Royals, but still 12 minutes to play in a close game.

Bethel up 21-17.

In D2, MSU-Mankato trails Valdosta St 28-21. 7:30 left in game and Mankato forced to punt -Valdosta takes over in MSU territory.

In FCS, South Dak State is rolling Incarnate Word.
