well at least now we dont have to worry about a shellacking next week…and hopefully never have to see Darnold in purple again.Would we rather play Detroit or Philly if we win tomorrow?
Is Wes Philips still employed or was he not a real person?
I know. But he certainly could be.He’s not the play caller
This is why you can't really put all or even most of the blame on the OL
and yet the future is bleaker because almost everyone else, who arent as broken, gets to pick in front of the Vikings, who desperately need some good players (and a decent QB). There is a lot to be said about being the Spurs and tanking to get Tim Duncan. The tanking route is far more productive. This route just means the Vikings have no chance to goto the SB again next year.I think we all need to remember one thing:
this team was "supposed" to win like 6 or 7 games in a transition year with a broken QB.
Well, I guess the QB was still broken after all .... just incredible how he could be not broken for 14 out of 18 games, but in 4 games against two teams he's suddenly broken again.
Damn.
Oh well, I thoroughly enjoyed winning 14.
No way in hell am I going to be as bitter as if this team only won 4 or 5. Some on here certainly seem like that.
It was fun

The Vikings are still in a decent place. They aren't 14-3 good and they aren't as bad as they've been the last two weeks.and yet the future is bleaker because almost everyone else, who arent as broken, gets to pick in front of the Vikings, who desperately need some good players (and a decent QB). but that’s the point. Need to use whatever cap they have on patching up lost starters. What QB can be obtained? Darnold again for about $2 or $3 bucks a year? Will Cousins come back for a reasonable sum after bilking the organization dry for all those years? The Vikings are still in a decent place. They need to use their ample cap room to address the interior OL, Interior DL and rebuild the secondary since everyone is a FA.
They have a LOT of cap room. They can do more than just keep existing free agents. I'm not sure what your point is about QB. McCarthy will be the starter next year unless he's hurt. They will go get another Darnold type reclamation to back him up, whether it's Jones or someone else. If McCarthy is a bust, then sure, they have issues.but that’s the point. I'm recording the game to watch it when we get home. How we doing?
You might want to watch the Gopher basketball game instead.I'm recording the game to watch it when we get home. How we doing?
About $80 million or so I'd guess. How many 10s of millions has Darnold cost himself these last 2 games?
