All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Warriors beat the Rockets in Houston. Thought for a while Houston might come back, but 6 of 29 from three isn't going to do it.

rockets looked like a young team with minimal playoff experience (like the wolves of a few years ago against the Nuggets). Steph was making some crazy shots last night and Butler his usual playoff self. Houston could win this series, but I feel ok with how we matchup with either of these 2 if we get to the next round. Curry is always going to steal a game or so in a series but we have so much more depth than GS does

Doncic 8 assists/game in western conf finals last year. 1 assist Sunday.

GS is built very similarly as the Lakers. 2 stars, small, and little depth. I think Houston will figure out how to win this series, but I also like the matchup with either.

Just finished re-watching the game. Doncic with 0 points the last 10 minutes.
What a difference a year makes.

So obvious the advantage Lakers have due to officiating. I have always said NBA officials are worst of all the pro sports. Apparently especially true if Lakers are playing.

Both DET and HOU still seem at least a year away from really being seasoned enough to make some real noise but they've done a great job of building their roster through the Draft.

How about this one last night in the Nugget/Clipper game last night.

Murray lifts up Powell......the Clippers end up with 2 technical fouls and the Nuggets with only one.

Murray ends up shooting the extra technical free throw. You can't make it up. Van Gundy was beside himself announcing. This was after they went to the monitor to review everything.

i also greatly dislike jamal murray. seems like a total punk and I will forever love Jaden hounding him relentlessly last year

Zero flow offensively and defensively.
I posted earlier we will have trouble scoring in the playoffs.

It's a whole new intensity tonight. We have one guy who can put the ball on the floor.

We can't even get a shot off

Plus, we just have NO answer for Doncic. How many more times can they get a switch with Gobert on him.

Gobert has been just brutal this series.

Wolves were game 1 version of Lakers tonight...2 man team with no bench
The amount of players on this team that can just go invisible is astounding.

Naw, Reid, Conley, DDV, Gobert, and McDaniels were all brutal to horrific tonight. It never ceases to amaze me.

This laker team is weak.

Ugly game, but I think the Lakers played about as well as they could have with their season essentially on the line. The Wolves were terrible, yet only lost by 9.

I don't think the Lakers can play with that intensity every game for the rest of the series.
