What the hell is going on here. Minnesota lead 44-19 over the Clippers in the 2nd QTR.
 




I can't stay up for these west coast games anymore but looking at the box score maybe this team is getting back to the defensive form they showed last year?

Also cool to see a couple of former gophers in the box score for the Clippers.

Coffey looks good. Best I've seen him play since he got to the league.

I didn’t stay up either. Both the Lakers and Clippers were on the end of back to backs as is Golden State tomorrow night. Whatever it takes to get back on track.
 

Just saw on Around The Horn, LeBron is a negative (-) 120 in his last 8 games

He finally hit a 3 the other night so he's now 1-23 from 3 over his last 5 games.

The body declines quickly when you approach 40. But he also looks injured, he's barely moving out there.

Someone said on An NBA show yesterday, he should get traded to the Warriors; I’d like to see that and would be fun to watch him, Steph and Draymond mount a charge in the west.

No idea if it’s feasible, but it would be fun.
 

Minot in the first quarter -glad he’s getting a consistent opportunity. I think this helps keep McDaniels fresher and also from getting over exposed by playing too many minutes.

11-2 Golden St. run to close out the half...ouch I'm currently streaming YTTV, so I haven't watched much T-wolves this year. Probably the last time i didn't have a Sports North network was back in the WCCO 2 days.
 



Lakes lose again to the Hawks in OT, despite this effort -

AD & LeBron wash had 35 points, 10 boards and 5 assists = 6 Duo Ever

But

Trae Young goes fo 30 points and 20 assists = 3TD time since 1995. Add in his 5 treys and that’s the first time ever for those #s.

Can’t imagine getting to see that game in person🤯

4 straight wins and have held our opponents to under 95 points in those Ws - first time since 2012 that’s happened.

We’ve turned the corner boys and this winning streak effort coincides with Ant’s comments about us being soft after Nov. 27.



Also -

🐜 Man ties KG with most games (40) with 30 pts./5 assists with his 30/9 effort tonight.

Warriors kicked Houston around yesterday. Without Curry. Free money on Sunday if the Wolves want it.

This is a crazy stat and my eyes would call you a liar. This should create a ton of optimism that our recent success is not a fluke.
 



Ant is a total disaster in the clutch. Until he develops that gene, this team wont be a true contender.

True, but we have literally no one who can score in the clutch.

The defense ramps up at the end and we have no one other than Ant who can score. You have to put the ball on the floor in the clutch. Jaden/Gobert/and whoever else is utterly useless in that role.

Randle can be occasionally.

Finch just said in the postgame we lost our composure at the end. Hero shot after hero shot. Hmmm.......

Ant has the gene and has won the Wolves many games in the clutch. He just needs to learn how to control it, and last night was one of those nights.

Actually by his own admission his 4th Qtr play in late games has been very poor. He has not been good at it through his development. This wasn't a 1 off.

Part of it is because we have no one else who can break down a D so we are easy to defend. But he has not been a big shot maker to this point.

Ant always takes accountability which is good, but to say he hasn't closed out many games in the 4th quarter is not reality. He just did it to the Clippers a week and a half ago to start the 4 game win streak.

He needs to get better, but superstars also don't win every single game in the 4th quarter. They lose plenty.

If not, nothing changes for you - we'll have the same Gopher coverage as ever, and you don't need to reference this board.
