All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Listening to a Rick Pitino interview after the Wisky game- the guy is amazing. His answers show you why he just keeps winning- he has the personality and the strategic knowledge. St Johns is going to be interesting in this tournament. A bad shooting team that gets after it defensively and can get to the bucket on offense with their athleticism.

And simply communication ability.

Not that I don't like UCSD, but Michigan is going to kill them.

I don't mind the play in games, but don't make automatic qualifiers play in them. They should be in the field of 64 automatically. Make the first four all bubble trams
I was more referring to how awful the bubble has been for about 20 years.

Clemson vs Strong Ass Offer and Purdue vs High Point. Interesting bracket...the higher seeds could take these games.

Seth Davis says UCSD to the Sweet 16. He knows Elite Basketball when he sees it so...
Who knows, but Seth throws out these predictions every year and has been so wrong so often.

I do like how UCSD plays, though, and will be tuning into that game.

Michigan gets ripped off. Beats Wisky and gets the 5 seed while Wisky gets the 3 seed.
Michigan also ahead of them in conference and a better overall record. Strength of schedule maybe?
michigan had a bad non con / bad losses. wisconsin had no bad losses besides penn state which basically knocked them from a 2 to a 4 and then moved back up to a 3 after beating ucla and Mich st.

I thought the same. It's like a professor at the front of a class, all off the top of his head. Basically, any coach preparing for this week, could listen to that interview and not saying they don't already know all this stuff, but he shares it in about 45 seconds.

The NIT and CBI brackets are out, only three Power 5 teams in the mix. Stanford, SMU and Georgia Tech. The College Basketball Crown tournament hasn't released its bracket yet but is expected to have some Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East teams. CIT has also not released their bracket yet but word is that it's happening.
