Six Linebackers in the NFL, niceBy my count there are 17 former Gophers in NFL camps. That has to be the highest number ever. It's so much fun watching these guys perform at the next level. It can't be bad for recruiting either.

Did I miss anyone?
Whoa, didn’t see that coming. I suspect that he winds up on someone’s practice squad.
Kamal cooled on them. He entered the transfer portal and will choose a good team.

Go Gophers!!
Did he have concussion issues that he is done with the NFL?Guess this is "Former" Gophers in the NFL...
Still vividly remember some of the hits Erik took as a Gopher. Always held on to the ball...
Wikipedia says he decided to retire. No discussion of concussions.Did he have concussion issues that he is done with the NFL?
I have a friend that's a huge Packer fan and he is really puzzled by this roster move. He was shocked when I told him about it.
Go Gophers!!
He and former Vikings RB Robert Smith are probably the smart ones. They walked away from the game to avoid serious injury with lifelong consequences. CTE is scary, but that is not the only worry.Wikipedia says he decided to retire. No discussion of concussions.
Man they HAD him short there ... then nope.
It is rare for GB to release a draft pick so quickly. I follow a lot of Packers media people and the common themes that come up from coaches/staff were injuries and a lack of consistency. I hope he lands somewhere and that the speed of the game at the NFL level slows down for him. From what I can tell, Kamal Martin hasn't landed on a different team yet. Really weird.
