I am on the baseline tonight for the U vs Creighton match. Not the biggest crowd I've seen, but I think it will be enthusiastic.

Purdue knocks out #9 Florida State 3-2 in Tallahassee.

If the Gophers win they will play Purdue in the Sweet 16 in West Lafayette.

Gopher drop the 1st set 25-20. Had trouble with the Blue Jays block. Fast start in set 2, 4-0 lead, quick Blue Jay time out.

Gophers win set 25-17. Palmer spread out the ball very well. Four Gopher with 6 or more kills.

Gophers come back from 16-8 to win set 3 25-23. Alexandra Palmer serves 6 straight to lead the comeback.

Gophers win 20-25 25-17 25-23 25-17. Five Gophers in double figures in kills, led by Ashley Wittman with 17.

The comeback in the 3rd game was unbelievable, Gophers got all the momentum from that comeback and really controlled the 4th game and kept Creighton from any chance at pushing it to a 5th game, Purdue at West Lafayette is next for the ladies.

Nice win by the lady gophers at Purdue. Next up #1 Penn State in the elite eight. ouch!! Good showing by the B10 with 4 teams in the final 8.

Great win, now we get yet another shot at Penn State, although they really have our number.

Go Gophers!!

Final Four will be

#1 Penn State v. #5 Oregon
#3 Texas v. Michigan

Someone mentioned we may get a transfer on Volleytalk, but I have heard nothing about it, and I think someone would have to transfer out in order to have a scholarship available.

Tiffany Baker from Tennessee has Minnesota on her final few transfer destination list. Her twitter is starting to get quite interesting as well.

How does Baker compare to her teammate who is going to the Huskers?

How does Baker compare to her teammate who is going to the Huskers?

Baker's a year younger, more eligibility in college left. (2 years) If she develops under Hugh she could become a FORCE! Was the #4 recruit in her class! 2nd leading attacker behind Robinson last season on a ranked Tennessee team as a sophomore.

Has great height, nice blocking, a potentially dangerous attack.

*Im hearing she's favoring Minnesota right now and will take her visit in a few months.

It would be great if she came to Minnesota and improved her junior and senior year the way Catherine Harms did.

for whats its worth... looks like tiffany baker is transferring to the Longhorns(per twitter)
