I don’t think that anyone who faced Big Dan has been involved in a tackle.
I think the senior bowl just divies them up as they see fit to create the most fair, competitive game.I can't find my answer on the web. But how are the rosters divided up for this game? How are the American and National teams split? Is it by region, conference, etc?
Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to keep college teammates on the same squad but no clue.Thanks. So you could have college teammates playing against each other in this game? In our case, Daniel and Boye are on the same team.
He’s hurt by this being a deeep year at edge. In another year he could be late 1st-mid 2nd potential I think. Most likely a 3rd rounder when all is said and done.Does that lift him to the 1st round? Is he a better prospect than the guys from "big name" schools? His physical attributes say a lot too. Time will tell, but congrats to you Boye. Something nobody can take away from you for the rest of your life. You deserve this.
Yeah, 1st round is probably a stretch but very good chance he hears his name called before the end of day 2 of the draft. He’s hurt by this being a deeep year at edge. In another year he could be late 1st-mid 2nd potential I think. Most likely a 3rd rounder when all is said and done.
I get that. There are some other studs out there. I'm just "maroon glassing". But I think he has opened some eyes that will improve his placement either way. He’s hurt by this being a deeep year at edge. In another year he could be late 1st-mid 2nd potential I think. Our defense has been super well coached. In real games players need todo their jobs, including contain responsibility, run fits, etc. I didn’t watch the senior bowl, but assume it’s a little easier to play “hero ball” where you can go all in on making the big play.Man.
I know he was a great player for us. But why didn't he have even more sacks for us?? Anything to do with scheme or coaching, here?
Probably not. Apologies, hate to derail and go negative. Just feels like he should've had 50 sacks for us, and somehow we biffed it.
Great job Boye!!
“Mafe’s growth was gradual. The Minnesota DE didn’t become a star overnight. He came to Minnesota at just 218 pounds, with a 4.95 40-yard dash and a vertical just over 32 inches. But lots of hard work in the weight room and positional drills piled up. Mafe maximized himself — the results eventually followed.”Our defense has been super well coached. Ian Cummings. Not a dink.“Mafe’s growth was gradual. The Minnesota DE didn’t become a star overnight. We know he's an insane athlete, but what more is there to the NFL Draft scouting profile of Minnesota DE Boye Mafe? Here's a closer look.www.profootballnetwork.com
I don't think he is hurt by the fact there are a lot of good edge rushers this year. I suspect a few of the "good" ones from helmet schools will be hurt by Boye jumping ahead of them. He’s hurt by this being a deeep year at edge. If he doesn't go 1st round, eventually 32 GMs are going to look stupid.Yeah, 1st round is probably a stretch but very good chance he hears his name called before the end of day 2 of the draft.
Mafe essentially said so earlier in the week. In games like this you can showcase your individual talents where during the season you have different responsibilities depending on the situation. Our defense has been super well coached. Nice write up and so thorough I bookmarked the site.“Mafe’s growth was gradual. The Minnesota DE didn’t become a star overnight. He had a storybook Senior Bowl. Now, next month, who of the bigger name guys will have better stats than Mafe at the combine? Boye is a fabulous football player but there may never have been born a guy better suited to the combine skills measurements than BM34.
Would be awesome if BM found his way to the first round. Will need a big combine but he definitely opened a lot of eyes at the senior bowl.
Has also a great attitude, works hard in addition to the fact that he has great character partly due to what he has learned from Fleck.Would be awesome if BM found his way to the first round. Will need a big combine but he definitely opened a lot of eyes at the senior bowl.
1st round? No. Not yet anyways. But he definitely has opened some eyes up and will shoot up the boards based on the results of this week.Does that lift him to the 1st round? You may well be right. I’m not predicting based on what I want to happen/should happen, but rather what I think will happen. If he doesn't go 1st round, eventually 32 GMs are going to look stupid.
