All Hail Limegrover

Never read it as attacking. And this only answers that the chicken egg, as we know it today, is produced this way. We can characterize eggs in many ways.

Also, from 2006: "The first living thing which we could say unequivocally was a member of the species would be this first egg," Professor John Brookfield said. So there is still the evolutionary discussion about what constitutes the chicken.

An article supporting you: http://www.whatsonxiamen.com/tech259.html

I'm sure there are articles supporting my point, but I wouldn't restrict an egg to being calcified to call it such, which would be my counterpoint. The soft egg produced the chicken that could produce the calcified egg. FWIW, I get your point more, and it has a solid basis for discussion.

There was some weird stuff going on. I'm pretty sure I saw Lauer start out in the backfield on one play and he was split out on another, clapping his hands for the ball (decoy?) when Nelson hit one of the TEs. I feel so damn stupid for forgetting to tape today's game.

Realized just after the game was over that I forgot to set the DVR. Crap.

Well, at least the discussion isn't over, and that's most of the fun, right?

Here's a thought:

Limegrover is not going to call plays in a game that are not working in practice. Plays that are not working in practice are not going to be a part of the game plan. E X E C U T I O N. If you're not executing in practice, why would you in a game?

We were playing our eighth game, plus 4 weeks of camp. Maybe it's all finally coming together.

This is such a stupid comment. If you watched any of the past games you would know what the complaints were about. The creative play calling today just justified them.

You don't have to announce it before you comment. We'll know. There was this guy who wanted to be a brain surgeon and during his junior year some guy on the brain surgery message board suggested he was studying too much basic stuff and that his instructors should just let him do some surgery. The patient died. So, the instructors wisely went back to teaching brain surgery the way it has always worked. People were helped by the surgeries and no one died. The end.

You are correct! Claeys said in an interview this week that this staff doesn't believe in "gamers." You need to prove it in practice.

It's all rationalization. Limegrover stepped it up today; he sucked the past couple of weeks. Thanks to him for realizing he needed to expand and change his poa. He was great today.

Yeah, he finally got onto GopherHole and started reading about what you thought the offense needed. Don't hurt yourself patting your own back.

I actually am a little giddy today for a lot of reasons!!

You think that the coaching staff was oblivious to the heavy criticism of the offensive style/gameplans (or lack thereof) coming from the national media, the berating coming from the local media, the large-scale disappointment coming from its own fanbase, and the disappointment in the eyes of their own players?

They're stubborn, but doubtfully obtuse and ignorant.

People asked him to do a better job and he did it...

Maybe he got a hold of video of Mason cleaning out his office. People asked Mason to do a better job; he did not; and now he is a college football talking-head. What's wrong with that?

I sure as hell hope they don't react to what the media says. Totally irrelevant.

The disappointment in the eyes of the players statement is ridiculous. You're telling me the players were disappointed last week in the NW win?

...disappointed in not being allowed to beat Iowa, and the coaches giving up against Michigan.

Please stop.

I'm tired of stubborn, obtuse and ignorant so please stop. Why are you so determined to ruin everything?

If you thought the Offensive Game Plan looked at least a little different you're right. Limegrover and Claeys were pretty open about that after the game. Oh, you know who we may have to thank? The bloody, bleeding Badgers!

Gophers offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said most of the staff’s time was spent watching video of just one recent Husker game.

Misdirection plays, more motion before the snap, plays dusted off from bowl games past — all of those were thrown at the Huskers à la Wisconsin in Indianapolis.

“Everyone was excited about the game plan,” Nelson said. “You know it’s a great game plan when everyone is excited about it.

Gophers offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said most of the staff’s time was spent watching video of just one recent Husker game.

“I hate to pick at old wounds, but we watched the tape of the Big Ten championship game a lot,” Limegrover said.

“We knew going into this week that Nebraska is the type of a defense that you can’t let get comfortable, so that is where all the shifts and motions came in to play, and we were able to keep them on their heels. We felt they were a similar type of defense to Iowa, so we knew we couldn’t pound the ball.

“We wanted to go sideways like Wisconsin did. We started picking and pulling pieces from that game and we just put it together.”

Okay, Okay, here's for the first and last time ever. To Wisconsin :drink:

Not one to let things go are you? The ignore feature on GH is my favorite. Say hi to Studwell55.

I was wondering this... it seemed like in the Bowl Game & the game yesterday we had more sweeps, runs outside the tackles & attempting to hit the corners, etc whereas it seemed like this entire year we were just pounding the ball straight up the middle which worked against much smaller athletes but proved useless nearly against a bigger line (Iowa)... very glad that the coaching staff swallowed their pride & made the appropriate adjustments as opposed to Brewster who took the saying "Pound The Rock!" & should've added "... No Matter What!" to it...

Nothing like direct evidence to back up what was so blatantly obvious. A lot of Gopherholers should be eating crow, but they're too stubbornly ignorant to admit how wrong they are.

No one is disagreeing that they added the jet sweep action. But the basics of the offense were still there. You're acting like it was a completely different offense.

Since you didn't answer it the first time, other than the jet sweep action, what else was different? Our RBs ran the ball 34 times and a majority of those plays were similar to what we've run all year. You keep saying the offense was so different but have only provided one example: the jet sweep to which almost everyone agrees with.
