You all may not like the badgers or even like Bo Ryan. You may not like his attitude or how he works the refs. He somehow is able to get many extra "Homer" calls in Madison. He has the goofiest "look" of any couch in the country. His teams play a boorish style, and has few blue chip Athletes. A good portion of his teams stars have actually come from Minnesota. In Spite of all of this, All he and his teams do is win. His two consecutive trips to the Sweet 16 seems so far away almost like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for us in loserville, Minnesota...

Congratulations Bo and to all the boys from Minnesota on your team, I wish you the best in going further this year.
 

Ahh, the "I'm truly a Badger fan" post. I give credit where credit is due. Bo is a very good coach and does a great job of running a program, but this post doesn't exactly scream Gopher fan to me. Maybe you should just cut ties with the Gophers and start cheering full time for Wisconsin?

I'd rather have my dog jump on my bed right now, and take a dump on my pillow than see the Grinch pace the sideline for my team.

This season will end like every season for the red weasels.
 

well.....all I speak is the truth. the core of his team is from Minnesota.It is time we start to emulate the good things that wisky does and we may see a turnaround in our program as well. There is so much petty jealousy on this board that is counter-productive. Wiskey is not the enemy. The enemy is us and our losing culture.Can it really get any worse here?

lol growing up in WI I always rooted for WI, however since coming to MN I have been a gopher fan...basically 50/50 but these are the kind of posts that I love coming from my WI fan side. You are basically saying that you would rather lose than have Bo Ryan...lolz

Yeah...that is exactly what I'm saying. If you saw Calipari or Boeheim at the end of their last games, and state that you would be proud to have them represent your university, I would say that you have a real problem.

Bo sucks...and sucks...and sucks.

I do not know what is sooo bad about Bo. It is not like he is a unethical recruiter or has NCAA violations (not that I know of). As a gophers fan I would much rather have Bo up here, or Tim Miles for that matter. I have been around this forum a while (not registered) and seen a lot of GOPHER fans bitch about Tubby, I think it is time fora change...but what do I know!

Short answer, he is obnoxious. Any objective fan of any fanbase can see this. Very good coach, but man is he obnoxious.

1) Bo is a d-bag, plain and simple.
2) Sorry, I can't take you seriously when you say you are both a WI and MN fan
3) The "a lot of GOPHER fans" are in fact not a majority of the posters here. The only ones that bitch consistently are M2S, minngg, BarnBurner, and Moses87. (I likely left a couple off, but they are not even a majority is my point)

I went on Buckyville after Minnesota lost at Wisconsin this one guy was saying that Gus Johnson should be fired for saying the Bo Ryan is an angry coach at least 5 people agreed that he is an angry and cranky coach it can't be denied.

Then why don't you go put on your red shirt and troll over on the Badger boards? That's where you belong. I don't know what you are or who you are, but you sure in hell ain't no Gopher fan.
 

Sorry millions but I call bull*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#, no real gopher fan can ever be happy for Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota, you can respect their program, but no gopher fan will ever cheer for them. Wiscosin will lose on Thursday and that thought couldn't put a bigger smile on my face.
 

I would rather walk on hot coals than be happy about ANY BADger success. Why be giddy about their wins? Yesterday was another example of why I dislike them. A defender breathes on Taylor and a foul is called. When Vandy had a chance at the end of the game to I believe tie the game the sconnie player holds the Vandy player going for the rebound but sconnie gets the call. Geez I hope 'Cuse destroys them!
 

It's highly dubious that you would find any positive language toward the Badgers on this board, so trying is futile.

Why should there be? I'm sure there is a lot of love for the Gopher's on the BADger boards.
 

Pal, if you ever get up too the Nisswa /Brainerd area and spew this crap in any of the local bars I would suggest you watch your backside. At Billy's in Breezy Point during the first round everytime they showed Bo a rang of boo's followed, follows by several "eat sh-t Bo" chants. And this crowd wasn't cocked to the gills. Your other d-bag coach BB would render the same response. Bottom line. You have two of the most hated coaches in the B1G and for that matter it is spreading out of the Midwest. Two major coaches at one school who fans can't stand You've cornered the market nationwide pal

Given the choice between the two of them, I'd take the seasick crocodile.
 

Congratulations to the Badgers. I don't like the flopping (something like 6 charges called on Vanderbilt early). Also, Bo's snarky expressions do not win him many fans. But outside of Minnesota (and maybe MSU fanbase) no one really knows or cares about the Badgers.

You can not argue with the results. Bo's record is very good and will likely continue to be good with some strong recruiting classes coming.

And Evans didn't push off on that final rebound. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.....The grab, hold,flop, and clutch Badger's soon to be the most hated team in college basketball.
 


It's not good defense. It's limiting possessions and knowing how to grab and hack without getting called for fouls very often. If a team has to run down the shot clock every possession it shows they don't have the talent or guts to actually play entertaining and fun basketball. All these players follow Bo's lead and whine and bitch about every single play. It is ugly and it's good that more teams don't play this horrible style or it would hurt the popularity of the college game.
