No he didn't. He might have gotten a little boost with the media (2nd team), but he had a good year & deserves to be on the list.

He was 6th in the B1G in tackles among DB's out of 72 starters, forced a fumble, and returned a Int for the game winner on Homecoming. That's a pretty good season.

Two guys I always knew were on the field, Winfield and Tyrone Carter. I cannot say the same for Koi. Wish I could.

Also he is no Jack Kennedy.

Look, I'm not going to tell you anyone is at Tyrone Carter's level. But as a true sophomore, Koi greatly outperformed Antoine Winfield, Jr. (20 total tackles, 1 TFL, no turnovers)

That's a fair statement. I just want him to be up there. He has already pretty much said it will be three years and done for him. No time to waste.
 







Is the long snapper and short snapper same guy.

HM for long snapper.
I don’t think our short snapper was very good but have no idea who it even is

If I recall AW jr got hurt that year and ended up taking a red shirt.

I think the wisconsin snapper that caused the fumble off the receiver in motion deserves some credit...

In all honesty…one great play to win a game, one great game returning kicks, and one boneheaded play that helped us lose a game.

Bad tacking most of the year.

Talented but not a all B10 type season IMO.

But I am not sure who his competition was

JFC, the lengths some people to go to tear down their own team instead of celebrating their accomplishments.

He has to be a better tackler. He has to quit trying to make plays all the time and sometimes just do his job.

His competition for all big ten was the other safeties in the big ten.
It certainly wasn’t an all American season and won’t be rewarded as such

Fair. And I would agree his tackling was my biggest issue by far.

I think his issues with tackling and coverage was always trying to make the unbelievable play when a solid play would’ve sufficed

Last year he didn’t play every down. This is the first time in his football career he played every down and he wasn’t by far the best player on the field every snap. I think he’s going to be really good next year

His “regression” is at least partially related to our struggling corner backs. In 2024 he had the luxury of free-lancing and making plays because Walley and to a lesser extent Robinson were stout in coverage. This year he was always trying to anticipate which db would need help in coverage. That’s why I wonder if he’s a flight risk. Will he want to play with elite level cornerbacks?
