AK

College football would be way better if they shaved down the play clock quite a bit. Watching PJ and Schiano having their teams just stand around waiting to snap the ball is like watching paint dry. I get it here at the end of the game, but that being their standard from the get-go just kind of makes it for a shitty game to watch.
I'm thinking that might be more of a KC thing then a Fleck thing. If you have noticed this year we have not been doing the check with the sidelines....bleed the clock to the final seconds offense.

Rutgers is very much playing like we did with Mo. Run the ball, control the clock, lean on the defense and don't ask the QB to do very much.

Unimpressed. Washington with a total squad and coaching turnover.... if they had a kicker that could hit ANYTHING, they win going away.

Both of these teams looked ugly

May say wondering for massive flow of players and lack of continuity everywhere that there are just very very very few decent looking teams on both sides of the ball

He made enough throws when he needed to though.
Did he? He was 4/8 for 23 yards in the second half with a sack and one other carry. He completed one pass for a first down in the second half. He made some good throws in the first half but his receivers also were great tonight with no drops on a slick evening. And that’s with having one of the easiest offenses to throw the ball in. There was really nothing impressive about his game overall game tonight. Rutgers is finding ways to win games given to them though, and that’s a you gotta do. Can’t imagine the record looks pretty for most teams who get outgained by 200 yards

Never said it was impressive, but he did make throws when he needed to do so. Pretty sure I saw a couple drops.

I gather he’s still the same horribly inconsistent QB we saw here. Some passes are pretty nice, others look like the second coming of Tarvaris Jackson (for the young ones here, that ain’t good).

I have no idea how a team that goes over 200 on the ground at 7+ per carry, outgains the other team by 200 yards, and doesn’t turn the ball over loses the game. That’s wierd. Red zone fails, missed kicks, bad field position, penalties?

No drops? You obviously didn't watch the game. I didn't even watch the whole game and I saw 2 receivers drop passes that hit them right in the hands.

Hey he 4-0, that’s all it matters.

Thought Washington would beat them but Rutgers got the W.

Here’s how I guess them would finish

NEB L 4-1
WIS W 5-1
UCLA W 6-1
USC L 6-2
MN W 7-2 (sad but can very be true)
MARYLAND W 8-2
ILL L 8-3
MSU W 9-3

Watched the whole game but Must’ve missed them while walking through the terminal heading to Ann Arbor. My apologies

Rutgers has the easiest schedule in the big ten. This will be their year to make something happen.

We would still be 2-2 w/ AK, with our losses by bigger margins, and wins by smaller margins.

Rutgers is 4-0 despite, not due to, their QB play.

I don’t get it. It’s not like he wasn’t given every opportunity to do well and develop. He wasn’t kicked off the team, he quit. If he feels slighted that speaks to his character.
Yeah I have no hard feelings towards Athan but it’s not like he was done wrong here. He was given the chance to be a starting QB in the big ten and he played terribly.

He made the decision to transfer and that’s totally fine. I don’t really root for or against him, he’s just another transfer in a CFB world full of them.

Well said

Much happier with Browser than I would be with AK. He’s the same mouthguard chomping, happy footed, scatter armed quarterback that he’s always been. I watched just the second half and he seemed to have pretty good protection.

It was an odd win, but a win none the less. Actually a fun game to watch.

Regarding your comments on drops, you didn’t see the whole game then. His receivers dropped 2 perfect balls. One was a 15 to 20 yard in/post route that may have gone for 6 and one was a back out of the backfield. Not saying he’s great or anything but his completion percentage is much higher and he’s not turning it over.

Yes, when he was confronted with the likelihood of competition, he packed it in and left.... (my take, not yours, AK's or his dad's).

Wow, that schedule is really about as favorable as one could ask for. Elite runner, a proven head coach* defensive mind, that prioritizes field position, good special teams. They could potentially rip through most of that.

Many years ago, but I’d argue still relevant.

Exactly. Don't want AK back, but would take Rutgers O-line in a heartbeat

14-24 (58.3%), 115 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT

Looks pretty much like last season to me.

What did all the Gopher Hole offensive coordinators think of the play-calling and overall game plan on offense? 115 yards passing on 24 attempts. 184 yards rushing on 33 attempts.

Yep realized from others I must’ve missed these whole en route.

Don’t care about AK.

He’s not our QB any more. We don’t have a thread on every B10 qb, and I don’t see a reason to have a special one for someone who walked out on us.

And you know there are a handful of posters hoping AK does awesome at Rutgers so that they have something else to complain about here.
Kinda warranted though, don't you think? Already looking like AK won the breakup.

Good Coaching makes a difference. The staff from 2019 to now..... We are a training ground for 3 star players. We have also become one for coaches. AK has (and still has) his faults, but he looked a lot better here with KC than he did without. I would also mention that Morgan didnt look great under Sanford and that possibly cost him a shot at getting drafted.
