A tinfoil hat conspiracy theory: Competing vs. both OSU and the refs on Saturday?

I agree that there is no "fix" going on but refs are human. Humans have biases. OSU and their reputation will help them get some calls. Happens with certain basketball players and pitchers too. Their rep gets them beneficial calls.

OP confirmed. This is a joke already.

Hmmm....looks like maybe I was onto something. Will go put my tinfoil hat back on now. ?

I scoffed at this thread when I first saw it, but 2 very questionable calls so far against the Gophers.

Sorry peeps but if you can't compete bad things happen to you. We are not nearly on the same level. O line most overrated in years.

I chuckled at this thread earlier in the week. Pretty sure you called it. There is no way the Big10 is going to let their best chance at putting a team in the playoffs get wrecked by the lowly Gophers.

every part of this post is terrible. Every part.

Again, we are not in the same stratosphere. No conspiracy, not even against Michigan.

Well I don't think most people predicted we'd have so many injuries.

Watch our DE's get held on almost every down. Blatant one on a Cardale roll out against #9. The offensive pass interference was a joke also. The targeting was just the icing. Yes,OSU has way better talent all over the field. Not sure how that is relevant to the fact the officials are calling it one way tonight.

Referees may impact a game through simple human error or incompetence, but outside of the NBA ref who admitted being part of a point-shaving racket, I tend to believe that most officials are honestly trying to do a good job.

It just happens that some people do a better job than others. There are good writers and bad writers, good plumbers and bad plumbers, good dentists and bad dentists - and there are good officials and bad officials.

everybody sees the game through their own perspective. I have covered thousands of HS and small college games, and every game features fans who thought the refs were out to "get" their team. If I had a buck for every time I've heard "call it both ways," I would be typing this from my resort home.

See Gophers vs Michigan last week. Last play of the game. Ref looking down the line at numerous offside Wolverines. No call.

Ugh. The reason that was not an offside must have appeared in 30 posts on here over the past week.
