I’m happy that Bob has restored the program back to the point where anything short of a frozen four is a huge letdown. For a while we had to scratch and claw just to make the tournament.

The recruiting class next year is not that good. I know the maroon and gold glasses people on there think so but compare it to the top classes. Eiserman saw what was happening as did Cooley. Plus the goalie situation is currently a disaster for next year.

Bob had his chance last year and he blew it. He's gonna need a miracle to win a title. He's on one strike and the second pitch is well on the way to the plate.
 

Bob, recruit some players who like to play defense. We have enough players who want to score a lot so they get bigger contracts in the NHL. And, recruit a goalie who doesn't lose his focus.
 


Motzko needs to hit the portal hard. Maybe he can fix Stramel and find a good goalie.

Next year is not hopeless by any means, but work needs to be done.

He doesn't think the portal needs to be a big factor, so don't expect that. But any idiot can see he needs a goalie capable of competing for the starting job next season.
 





BU is a better team, #2 overall in the nation. BU brought in goaltender Mathieu Caron from Brown in the offseason.

It was a fun game except the ending. Gophers finished the season somewhere 6-8. That's fine if a Frozen Four comes around new and then.

Agree that there is a reason they were a #1 seed and we were a #2. BU a slightly better team. That said, it was a winnable game, especially with our great start. But, 1. Close had to have a great game. He didn't. 2. Snuggerud's line had to make a difference. They didn't.

Will see who turns pro or transfers and how Bob fills the roster.

This is BS.. Eiserman "saw what was happening?" And so did Cooley? Laughable.
 




Saw that he'd have a much better shot at a title at BU.
 

I have to give it to Bonin21. The amount of time he must stay awake at night to come up with some of these takes is remarkable. If Cooley thought the program is in such disarray, why would he push Mooney to sign here? I'm sure Bon Bon will respond by saying it is just a ploy and Mooney has no intention on coming here. I also love that he covers his bases. He is obsessed with draft picks, but if a team with not many picks wins a game over said squads, it's because of coaching. Not sure what his real job is, but college hockey is lucky because if he was coaching any team in the NCAA, they would never lose a game and win the Champy every year.
 

This would be a huge get.

Cooley realized even with him it would be hard to win the title this year

If Mooney doesn't come (if he heats up the NIL offers will come in), wow does the pipeline look brutal. I barely even see another 2nd or 3rd round pick in there.
