Last week was really bad.

Had they beaten a Pacers team that had all but forfeited based on whom they played and beaten one of the worst teams in the NBA at home, they'd be in 6th place.

In fact, that'd put them 1.5 games out of third with upcoming games against the 5th place and 3rd place teams.

They had a decent chance at the 3rd seed. Now, their best hope is the 6 seed.

As someone (maybe Michael Grady) said, this isn't the worst thing for the Wolves. As a team that does better on the road, to be the 8th seed could be exactly what the doctor ordered. Of course, it's rare that this ever works out in the history of sports.
