Go Gophers!!
I'll be curious to see where it ends up. It is logical to assume that a lot of 5* and 4* talent committing will drop the Gophers in these rankings, just as has been the case in the last couple years. But, it seems reasonable to assume this year's drop won't be as far as the last two, when signing day approaches.
Anyone have any guesses? Top 20?
As said by a couple others, he may get a shot at QB as he has a strong arm. I picture him as a dynamic slot receiver though, but that’s just me.Awesome! Hopefully for good. Which position will he play?
Or Moses AlipateAnd former H.S. QB Kamal Martin-
Why'd you have to go there?Or Moses Alipate
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I love the Jackson pickup. Why'd you have to go there?
I agree with your take. I have to think if we land another 4-star or two, we should be right there in the Top 20.
It's a little hard to see as the video is a bit blurry but it looks like the first throw went over 50 yards while he was fading to his left. Impressive arm.
Go Gophers!!
I still have nightmares of Randle-El at the Dome.I clearly remember Antoine Randle-El driving the Gophers nuts when he played for Indiana....he'd run around and make our d-lineman look like idiots trying to touch him. I see a lot of the same characteristics is this kid! He could be really fun to watch!!!

I'd prefer Kaliakmanis to Jackson for the TD!I hope to hear this in a couple years. Jackson to Boyd.....TOUCHDOWN!
Still no 5-stars. Color me unimpressed.
Might want to check your sarcasm meter. Pretty sure it was a joke.Find another school if that's what will impress you and you can't get excited about a very real improvement in our FB team's recruiting.
Fred Mertz???
Ethel?Fred Mertz???
I think the difference with Jackson is that he's already shown to be a productive receiver. He'll get a shot to prove it as a QB, and if it doesn't work out, we have a dynamic receiving talent for this staff to develop. Seems like a win-win to me!Time for an "old guy" post.
I always get a little wary when I see a recruit listed as "athlete" instead of at a specific position. It's just a personal quirk of mine.
Maybe this is fallout from the Brewster days, when they would recruit some kid and Brewster would say "he's a great athlete. We'll find a position for him." those never seemed to work out.
I suppose it comes down to trusting the coaching staff to find a spot where the player can make the biggest impact.

I also like the "toos." Especially when they are phenomenal athletes with rocket arms. Put a chip on the shoulder of someone blessed with talent and watch him burn! I think I remember seeing that he's a really good student, too. Seems like way more plusses than minuses!PJ has a soft spot for the "toos". Too short, etc... Hungry guys that are bent on proving everyone wrong.
sorry MosesWhy'd you have to go there?
