Just looked at GI and one of the threads on the message boards says something about a rumored 3rd recruit. Does anyone know anything about this?

Some names (recently) are Henry Brooks (6-8 F from GA) and 6-9 F from MI whose name escapes me at the moment.

Brooks was rumored to be consider a visit to Gophers this winter?
 

I was also snooping around the lists just looking through and could Andre be trying to convince his friend Adonis Thomas to come up?
 


Your right my bad ESPN has an article about it. For once they have better information than rivals.

is spoken for. I think he's staying home at Memphis.

It shows committed but not signed LOI. When a kid signs it changes from committed to signed on his page...according to rivals...he is not signed anywhere.

Don't know why...everyone had this kid going to Memphis...but maybe he has an issue...

I'll give you a hint, he's from the Midwest, he's higher rated than Maverick, but not as high as Royce White. Will start from day one and can really bang.

Nah...we'll just wait for a non-dick rivals member to tell us...wont be long now. Feel free to go back to your rivals board and post there.

Actually I think he signed but Rivals failed to update their page. Those of you who pay $ to Rivals, well, there are better things to with your $.

"Nebaska, which signed three men's basketball prospects in November, has its eye on a junior college point guard for this spring.

Blake Nash is at Williston State (N.D.) College and will transfer with three seasons to play three in Division I.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder from Casa Grande, Ariz., originally committed to Washington State but didn't qualify academically. He went to Williston to follow his former high school coach, and redshirted last season.

At an all-star camp in Phoenix last July for more than 100 juco players and unsigned high school seniors, Nash shared the title of "best NBA prospect.''

At Williston this season, he has been voted the Montana-Dakota League player of the week three times, and has three 30-point games. Last week, in an 85-75 road win over Dakota College, Nash had 26 points and 17 rebounds.

Besides Nebraska, other schools showing interest include West Virginia, Rutgers, Creighton, Utah, Oklahoma and Washington State.

Nebraska's current point guard, Lance Jeter, is a senior. NU signed Corey Hilliard out of Raytown South (Mo.) High in November. Also on the roster as a walk-on is former LSU starting point guard Bo Spencer, who is sitting out and would have one year of eligibility if he meets academic standards."

I'd love to see us get a nice Juco point guard. Although I wouldn't say no to the next Bobby Jackson or the next Vince Grier either.
 



Nash may be one to wait it out for a 'dream school offer'. Could be some time yet. Perhaps he and Tharpe can take each other's PT at KU.

Thomas signed an NLI on the first day of the early signing period.

Blake Nash...

Ryan wrote a nice story on him for rivals...if you haven't seen him play check out this youtube stuff. He is going to be a differrence maker no matter where he ends up.

If his scholastic work is up to par....I would send an armored car to Williston and bring him back.

Guess so. GH has now waited 6 hours to hear about a rumor a GI poster started on a private message board.

Because message boards are loaded with them...here is what I heard this weekend:

Tubby has a 3rd recruit locked up. The player has been ranked in and around the top 10 nationally.

This recruit will give us a top 10 class...possibly the best in the B10.

My source said that Tubby doesn't like to announce kids prior to NSD for fear of other's poaching attempts.

My source is very well connected: he coaches at the highest level of AAU ball.

Who know if this has any truth, but it makes the recruiting trail a little more interesting heading into the Spring signing day.

This sounds like nonsense, to me. I don't believe it for a second.
 

Yeah, if any o fit is true it would have to be a JUCO guy because all the top recruits have already signed elsewhere.
 

It looks like "AllTime9" started the thread on GI. There is a poster that pops in from time to time here named "AllTime....Fan" that is connected in some way and has thrown out a couple rumors on this board that ended up being true (although I'm pretty sure he was ripped for them at the beginning). It they are the same person the guy might have the connections to make it credible? I'm not sure about the exact name of the poster, but i know they both start with "AllTime" and that person hears stuff from within the program, so who knows??

Okay, hasn't everybody in the top 40 already signed? And they can't UNSIGN their LOI, right? I don't see any way this could possibly be true.
 

I heard that Tubby convinced all the players who committed to St. John's to walk-on for the Gophers.
