First place vs. last place. Another year, another bad badger team. What a shame. They are 7-9, Gophers are 13-5. But uw is just 1-7 in the Big Ten after somehow stealing a win from Michigan.

Fri. Dec 9 @ 8PM on BTN
Sat. Dec 10 @ 6PM on Bally Sports North

Even in down years, the badgers often get up for this series and make at least one of the games competitive. Their top scorer, Cruz Lucius, was obviously a Gopher commit and should hear it from the student section. Unless I'm mistaken he was the youngest Gopher hockey commitment ever at 13 years old.

In the last decade or so, there have been some absolute maulings by the Gophers including the last series at Mariucci which was a 5-0 and 8-0 sweep.

What pairwise rankings are you using that have us #2?

2 wins this weekend would be nice. 2 complete beatdowns would be a lot better.

Not sure how long you've been around college hockey, but generally people refer to the USCHO and USA Hockey rankings when talking about a series. Of course, people that know college hockey know Pairwise is what actually matters come the end of the season.

My mistake, for some reason I was thinking your numbers were USCHO/Pairwise.

Pairwise is not used in game descriptions and things like the scoreboards on the broadcast because it can change in the middle of a game and no one wants to manage that.

Makes sense.

Man the badgers like to create highlights against themselves...

You're looking for this one:
As a guy that lives in Wisconsin and had some connections for tickets I always had no problem securing some tickets in the traveling section at the Kohl Center for the games. That is until Kessell showed up and they were all gone that year.

No doubt the boys have had plenty of fun at the Badgers' expense over the years. Here's hoping it continues this weekend. 😁

Repeat please!!!

It’s strange watching the gophers in the ocean that is Marriuci after 3 weekends on the road.

Kinda of confused why that 1st goal was good.

Brock Fabre can not turn over that puck there on the power play as a captain and #1 defensemen on the team.

I'd imagine this is how the Gophers played in those early 2000s. Just outskating opponents and scoring at will.
