??????

Finally, you folks are forgetting one of the worst and now acceptable butcher-ings of our beloved language: I’m doin’ good. People say that on TV now and no one blinks.

People also say real when they mean really about 90% of the time. It's really annoying, but whatever.

JohnnyGopher is probably the most well-known "inside" person on this board, and to be frank, his posts are uaually littered with errors. Should we stop listening to him? I think that would be pretty silly.

I pray no one proclaims they "could care less" about this stuff.

Honestly, I think a fair lesson to some people is that how you type (and speak) in almost any forum can and does affect the opinions of certain people... they may think you're dumb, lazy, uneducated, poor, or even the devil himself. Now, you may not care about people that would have a misspelling affect their opinion of you... that's fine. If you can live with it, they have to live with it.

I'm sure we all have more important areas in our lives to improve on as compared to spelling and grammar, but I understand how apparent ignorance and/or stupidity can get some folks excited.

To our Western Kentucky friends that may be reading this, hi! I bet you're impressed with our conversations on this basketball board! I saw some geek on there commenting on how posters on this site used a lot of 'periods'.. 'ellipses' may have been a better description, you towel waving freaks.

PS - I find it strange when people call a message board a 'blog' or 'chatroom'. It doesn't send me into a dpodoll68-like rage, but does probably cause me to make assumptions (i.e., this guy must be old... or.. this guy must be strange)...

Oh please.

The title of the thread is "??????".

How do you hijack that?

Yes, the title was "??????" but the thread author's questions were in his first comment.

"why does the live stats say hollins is starting over rodney??? not good. no way did rodney play worse then hollins is something going on or is it just an error?"

I love it when you talk about "ellipses"! :D

Hope all is well with you.

I think you may need to brush up on your use of the ellipsis. You tend to over use it to replace proper punctuation.

I'd say I overuse the ellipsis... I realize this and it does send me to confession a couple of times per year. Yet, perhaps it's an identifying part of 'my style'... my wrong, very wrong style.

201 - Hope you are well also! I have been tossing around some crazy thoughts recently that may leave me with a little more free time... we'll have to grab a beer before a game.

I bet I can't find a $7 Corona in Dinkytown like I found at Target Field! :D

Twitter's different with the character limits lol

That certainly didn't stop Ozzie Guillen from congratulating Gardy on his manager of the year award via twitter-

Ozzie doesn't care about grammar. :D

Have you heard Ozzie? That was far easier to understand then anything else I've heard him say in years other then "I love Jim Thome."

LOL "get what he is"....awesome. Props to Gardy though.

If Ozzie posted like that on a baseball forum dpodoll would have to assume that everything he said was off base. Informed posters never make grammatical errors. If they were really informed, they would spell everything correctly and use proper punctuation.
