I think Jahnke is going to have a big season. I would love for her to get offered and commit sooner rather than later.

Wish Kussow would release a top 5-10 list. Lots of teams putting in a lot of work to recruit her. She’s been to Iowa recently. Purdue, which has had players from her high school, also been in to see her recently. Probably many more. Her recruitment has been pretty quiet on her end.

Coach P may not land Kussow; but, I do feel its just a matter of time that she lands a highly top recruit (top 20). It only takes one to bring in more and make a complete turn.

You never know. COACH P and staff, are high quality coaches. Good at developing players. Minnesota may have a shot.
 

Here is the known/confirmed offers for 2026 at this time. Now keep in mind the Gophers themselves or these players may have stopped recruiting or have a private list that doesn't include the Gophers. Also Cail Jahnke and Vienna Murray in MN don't have an official offer yet but are the likely only other two that in-state could get an offer for 2026.

Took an official visit to Iowa State this summer. Only official visit I saw. Also has several Ivy League offers and offers from ISU, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Florida, Florida Atlantic, George Mason.
 

Got to keep offering since it seems everyone is saying no to us.

Interesting that the Gophers seemingly have passed on Vienna Murray from East Ridge. Perhaps not a position fit or perhaps Coach P simply not interested. Her late 2025 offers are Oklahoma, Iowa, BYU, Missouri, ASU, Purdue. She made this ESPN list (top left) of 2026 national prospects who showed significant improvements this summer. (Kussow also on the list.)

Is there still talk about giving athletes 5 years of eligibility? If so could mean they would have to tell recruits for 2026 that Battle, Heyer could be back too? Would make a difference if only 4 open spots vs 6. Curious to know where those talks have ended. Thanks

Sometimes players are not considered for reasons other than their ability on the floor. In addition to positional need, Coach P is very much into making sure it’s a good fit with chemistry, personality, and heart, as well as other aspects of the player as well. I’m not saying anything about this player, but we don’t know why she was not considered. (Or perhaps the lack of interest was on her end.)
