2026 Recruiting

This seems like a development project here. Kind of looks slow and not very athletic. I’m sure the coaches see a vision but this seems like a head scratcher to me.
Two scholarships left. I’d like to see them hold these for the portal.
 


I was a fan of the Ayianna Johnson signing a few years back, and she was a pretty big recruiting reach. Kuol is another recruiting reach, but you can’t teach size. With so many open scholarships, seems ok to take a flyer.
 




Hmm... reminds me of the Canadian of a couple of years ago; she never developed.
 

Hard to know with Kuol, she played on a 1A state runner up team last year in Tennessee. She averaged like 7.5 pts and 4 rebs in the state tournament. From her highlights online she seems like she is very good at getting position down low but her post moves seem awkward. From her AAU highlights she attempted and made 3s so the skill set has potential there. Overall seems like a project and I would be shocked if they did not add another big in the portal (also expect Woodson to play small ball 5 in 2026-27). I did look at her HS teammates, nothing super special, they do have a 6’5 girl who was not in the rotation at state and they run everything through there PG who has been getting low end D1 interested with Georgia tech also watching her games.

Overall feels like a flyer but you can’t teach size and I think we just need to trust Dawn in her evaluations. Also helps that she has added 3 quality recruits for 2026 and there is a foundation she has created where if Kuol does not pan out they will be fine. No issues taking a high upside swing. Hope Kuol develops to be a rotation piece when it’s all said and done.

Will be interesting to see if Adit jumps up the ratings during the rest of her HS career..

Found as article on her and her dad played pro hoops in Australia - always like this kind of bloodlines.

Not sure a flyer is a 6'4", 16 year old, post player who is going into her junior season. Coach P sees potential in the player. 6'4"

Likely they look for another post in the class and with the portal, it's hard to predict how classes will fill out.

Of course. When I say flyer I’m not saying that in a negative way. She was just more lightly recruited but that does not mean she can’t end up being a stud. I mean Bateman was lightly recruited until his senior year.

With Kuol do we know if she is a 2026 or 2027 kid. Local media is saying she is 2026, her X account says 2026. However her HS roster has her listed as a sophomore last year and that would make her a 2027 kid if she didn’t reclassify

Guessing reclassify as I see both as well. Going to need to see a birth certificate
