2025 NFL Circa Survivor Pool

There were a bunch of people - I think 40 - who never got their pick in for week 1.

All of the picks needed to be in by like 10 PM on Saturday before the game and those people must've thought they had until the Sunday kickoffs.

Circa has people all the time that don't get their picks in. I think they have had a perfect Zero "no picks" in each of the last two weeks, first time all season. I chalk a lot of that up to being out of state and having to us a proxy of some kind. Also, I think even some of the proxy's have different cutoff times? I'm able to use the Circa betting app to make mine, because I live within Nevada, and my cutoff is 4pm Pacific on Saturday. I've heard some proxy's have much earlier Saturday cutoff times because someone has to manually submit them or something to that effect.

Ogee - Do you play at the Fulltime Fantasy events out there the first week of the season?

I'm not sure what that is, but I haven't played any form of Fantasy Football for YEARS. I really liked one that was hosted by a company online called Sandbox, one of the only ones at that time that used individual defensive players. When that went tits up, I kinda stopped. Unless you mean something like a Fantasy camp or something, which I wouldn't know anything about either

Best of luck!!

Weird year for Survivor, it's been a good year for most of the favorites, barring that one week when the Titans came back on the Cardinals and the Patriots beat the Bills in Buffalo. This week's games didn't knock very many out, although some people were sweating it out

It's weird that with the holidays being separate weeks in the Circa game, this weekend's games were only Week 11 out of 20, barely past the halfway point.
Thanks. Tough week coming up. A lot of people already used the Ravens or Seattle or the Bills, who are the biggest favorites next week. Think its Ravens week for me, but still considering 49's.

Right on. Fulltime fantasy is "high stakes" league that is hosted at Circa the first week of the NFL season every year. A ton of the people involved also bet in the Circa eliminator pool. Obviously, there are a ton of people not involved with FT Fantasy in the pool as well. I was just curious because you seemed pretty plugged into the pool.

Another week with very little carnage in Survivor. The bigger favorites just keep winning. In the Circa contest, where the Thanksgiving games are a separate week, there will be a shitload of people on Philly (at home against the Bears) and Baltimore (home against the Bengals, who will likely be playing Burrow). There SHOULD be some fallout between now and Monday night one would think

First time I can ever remember, no one, out of 35, dropped out in my pool this week.

Is there a tiebreaker after Week 18 or do all of the remaining teams split the pot?

Chop the pot. I think either 8 or 9 people split the $14.4M last year.

I have heard when it gets way down to a pretty small number but with weeks remaining, whether it's Circa or the Circa Grandissimo contest, there will be conversations about splitting it somehow. I think a week or two ago, in Grandissimo, an idea was floated about splitting a good chunk of the pie (70-80% of the $6.9M?) and playing the remainder of the contest for the rest of the pot. That notion was rejected by at least some of the folks, and of course any split like that would have to be unanimous

I think it was something like, 10 remaining entries, someone suggested splitting $5M of the pot 10 ways ($500k each) and then playing the rest of the season for the remaining $1.9M and they did not get a 100% consensus

For Circa for the Thanksgiving "Week", it looks like 82% have Philly available and 33% have Baltimore available. They are projecting 55% taking Philly and 32% taking the Ravens, for almost 90% of the entries. An upset in either of those games would obviously be maximum carnage

Danny B says that the bears have the niners in the schedule. There is a tipping point where mn listeners won’t be able to take it anymore

Ogie - as a Raider follower, what do you make of Kelly's firing? Will it make ant difference Sunday?

I didn't see it coming, that's for sure. Where do you start with the Raiders?

The Jeanty pick was a head-scratcher, picking up Geno and giving him a 2-yr deal was just astronomically stupid. I have to believe this doesn't have everything to do with the production on the field; must have butted heads with the wrong people in the building as well, although I haven't heard anything definitive. I know the team doctor for the Raiders/VGK but he doesn't say a damn thing regarding the team, understandably.

I'd be surprised if there was a team in the NFL with a worse roster than the Raiders. Who are the building blocks? I'm an AZ Cardinals STH and fan and while they're not great, they have a lot of really good young pieces on the roster. The Raiders, I can't think of more than 4-5 players I would want to keep and build around.

They have both Kenny Pickett and Aidan O'Connell on the roster at QB, along with Geno; I think O'Connell was just activated or cleared to play for the first time this year within the last week or so. I hope we see at least one of them get some playing time, meaningful playing time, before the end of the season. But damn, I think ol' Coach Pete is married to Geno; may not let that happen.

I will say, almost ashamedly so, I'm actually kind of an O'Connell fan; he won't be a top 10 "franchise QB" but I think if you give him some help, he can be a stopgap for a team for a year to 1.5 seasons while you address the problem more definitively.

I wasn't a fan of Geno before the Raiders and he's now had 3 incidents with fans in barely 4-5 months that are just not a good look; in the preseason he was flipping off Seahawks fans, it sounds like he did that again the other day to some heckling fans, and something that got swept under the rug in the offseason (because some folks get a free pass for this kind of thing); he was on the sideline during some HS or small college game and got into it with a fan and threw out the N-word a few times, telling the fan something like "They gave me the big money, nigga", more than once.

It honestly needs a complete, 100% total reboot, from the ground up. I DO like Spytek, the new GM they got from Tampa Bay, but he'll need a long, long leash

Thanks. Been leaning Chargers for a while for this week but I don't like divisional games and dont like picking against a team that's had a major shake-up, (like a new QB or coach, though this is only the OC).

However, dont trust the Panthers, Jags, or Dolphins, Mayfield is possibly out for Bucs and I've used most of the other possible picks. Probably still pick the Fighting Harbough's, LA Branch. Maybe Eagles.

What happens if no one makes it through to the end?

The only pause I would have with the Chargers is slightly twofold (three if you count I don't like division games); yes, the ever-present "dead cat bounce" is in play for a team that fired a coach, and also, the Raiders always have a MASSIVE presence in Los Angeles. It will be a home game for the Raiders, it always is. The Chargers don't fill that place against anyone, and the Raiders fans will.

I had the Chargers kinda penciled in a few weeks ago for this week, but I'd be thinking hard about Miami. The Saints are bad, and I always like fading a dome team playing outside as well. (assuming you don't have SEA, LAR, NE, DEN, or 49ers available)

Last man standing wins it all, no matter if it's Week 14 or the whole distance. If it's more than one, they chop the pot.

Still have 49's available. Not the others. Good info.

If you're not burning the 49ers now, you're basically saving them for Week 15 at home against Tennessee, which isn't a terrible idea provided you get to Week 15 (that will be the best play on the board for Week 15). I guess the 49ers could be saved for Week 17 at home against the Bears.

I think there will be some action on Miami this week. They've won 2 games in a row, they're coming off their Bye, and they've played decent at home. It would make me nervous, not sure if they've thrown in the towel yet, but the Saints are bad. Caveat: I got knocked out a few weeks ago by the Saints going into Carolina and winning. WTF....

They say in Survivor you want to zig when everyone else zags, contrarian picks, hence, why I think there will be some folks on Miami. The Chargers should crush the Raiders, but Geno is one of those guys that plays better on the road, and can throw for 385 yds and 3 TDs on any given week. The Chargers will have to figure out what the new Raiders OC, Greg Olson, is going to change up this week on offense (although Olson has been around forever and it won't be hard to game plan for what he likes to do).

Best of luck!!! I'm pulling for you!

Thanks. Yes, I want to save niners for week 15. Texans week 16 then 17 and 18 (if I make it that far) are a bit of a crap shoot depending on who's in or out of playoff contention or key injuries. Bengals might be back in play if Burrow ignites team.
But, got to get through these 2 weeks. Had Bucs solidly for next week b4 Mayfield injury. Hopefully he will be ok.
So, still juggling Eagles, Chargers and Dolphins for this week. BTW, Saints knocked me out of the other pool I was in, just like you.
Survive and move on.

The picks are in for the Circa contest, with today and tomorrow's games as a separate week. Not surprising that most of the field was on the Ravens or Eagles. I had marked this week for Philly before the season even started. Clearly some folks didn't have either of those teams available. Two people didn't get their pick in.... SMH....
