Okay, last year it started the first Wednesday in August. If it follows the same timeline, that is Wednesday August 3rd this year. Less than 10 days away. I'm ready!! Confirmation, info, rumors, speculation, criticism all welcome.
Optimism is probably okay...ask around though before getting too excited, some guys get pissed if you think we are going to win 10 games.

Don't let them kill your joy for the Gophers!;)

FWIW - ran across a podcast called "Eyes on B1G." the new episode has previews of MN, MSU, Ill and Ind.

not bad. they do about 15 minutes on each team - almost 20 on the Gophers. Go through all the position groups, go through the schedule, predict toughest game, easiest game and overall record.

they also open the show with a short discussion/tribute to Marion Barber III and reminisce about Barber and Maroney.

from what I can gather, one of the hosts is from Iowa and the other is from Illinois. (that is the pun in the title: "I's on the B1G") Don't appear to be big fans of Fleck - referred to him as "Peej" during the episode.

but again, worth a listen. interesting thoughts on MSU and Illinois.

Knuth is 6, Kaliakmanis is 8, Morgan is 2, Kramer is 12

Been pretty disappointed with the total lack of articles or content anywhere to this point regarding fall camp this year. Guessing there hasn't been any media availability yet for coaches or players. Hopefully they will do media more than one day a week during camp.

per the U:

Team Will Hold Three Open Practices for Fans

The University of Minnesota football team will hold three open practices during training camp for the public to come and watch the Gophers prep for the 2022 season. Minnesota's three open practices, which are free for the public to attend, will be:

Saturday, Aug 6 – 2:00 p.m. at Huntington Bank Stadium
Thursday, Aug. 11 – 7:45 p.m. at Huntington Bank Stadium
Monday, Aug 15 – 4:15 p.m. at Athletes Village

Minnesota previously announced that Saturday, Aug. 6 would be F.A.M.I.L.Y. Day at Huntington Bank Stadium. The event is sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and will include a Fan Zone in the West Plaza with inflatables, yard games, photo stations and fun for all family members.

Minnesota will also host its annual diaper drive as part of F.A.M.I.L.Y. Day and fans are encouraged to bring disposable diapers and wipes. Those diapers and wipes will then be donated to the Diaper Bank of Minnesota, which provides diapers and wipes to families in need through partner agencies in the Twin Cities.

Fans are also encouraged to bring a decorated oar to F.A.M.I.L.Y. Day. These customized oars will be added to the inside of Huntington Bank Stadium as they adorn the tunnel that connects the Gopher locker room to the field. These inspirational oars are the final images the Gophers see before taking the field and serve as a way to connect the community and state with Gopher football.

Minnesota's August 15 practice will also be attended by the Big Ten Network, as BTN talent will be on campus that day to watch the Gophers practice.

Go Gophers!!

Yeah that's good, but if those are the only days where PJ and players will speak to the media, it's gonna be a long freaking month.

It's pretty much been the same every year though, right? At least since Fleck's arrival. No real surprise here.

I spy a massive left knee brace on Tanner Morgan. Not sure if all the QBs do that for preventative measure or if there's an injury we'll never know about.

Gopher fan related, 247 and GopherIllustrated has a 50% an annual membership right now. Just under $60 for the whole year - and includes access to Paramount+. That's a really great deal.

BTW, if you are a Star Trek fan Paramount+ has a new series called "Star Trek - Brave New Worlds" that actually works pretty well. Basically follows Capt. Christopher Pike on the Enterprise about 5-6 years before Kirk's helm. This one is best if you know the original series inside-out. Of course GI and 247 speak for themselves.
