I thought Big Ten teams weren't allowed to schedule FCS schools any more? Tenn Tech must've been on the docket before they said that.
They backed off of it when they went to a 9 game conference schedule.I thought Big Ten teams weren't allowed to schedule FCS schools any more? Tenn Tech must've been on the docket before they said that.
I think it is unless both teams agree to move it to a night game.I know the Nebraska game on black Friday this year was an afternoon kickoff. I wonder if it will be the same next year.

I’ve gone to Lincoln 3 times since they joined the conference but it’d be hard for me to leave thanksgiving early
Week 3 Georgia is at AlabamaSo what game do we get College Gameday for?
Gameday will be back for the little brown jug battle!!!So what game do we get College Gameday for?
I think regardless of the bowl we start in the 20-others receiving votes area.If we win our bowl game this year, do you think we start next year in the top 25? if so, where?
Thank you, this is a really good summary for what I would agree are our "main" division rivals.MN replaces Rutgers and PSU with MICH and MSU, keeps Maryland
WI replaces tOSU and MSU with IND and Maryland, keeps Michigan
IA replaces Rutgers and Mich with tOSU and MSU, keeps PSU
NE replaces IND and Maryland with Rutgers and PSU, keeps tOSU (Final 5: tOSU,PSU, IA, WI, MN)
All play five road big ten games
Non Conference
MN: FAU, BYU,
WI: App St. and Notre Dame
IA: Iowa St and Northern IL
NE: Cinci and Central MI
I think the non-conference schedule is significantly tougher next year. BYU is better than any of the 3 non-con foes we played this year, and while I don’t know what FAU graduates, they are 9-3 and well coached by Layne Kiffin. They are definitely better than any of the 3 non-con foes we played this year. Hopefully Kiffin leaves and FAU is rebuilding and breaking in new stuff when we play them. Yes, we should win both of these games, but you better be ready to play 4 quarters, especially against BYU. Come out next year like we did this year, and it could be a different story. We are a better team now, so hopefully we get through these games with less drama than this season. How is next years any tougher? We replace Penn State with Michigan and Rutgers with Michigan State. Michigan State was probably playing like the 3rd worst team in the conference for more than half the season. And Penn State and Michigan are very comparable. I don't think it's smart to compare non conference opponents because some teams clearly get worse like Fresno State. Sure Purdue, NW, and Nebraska could get better or they all could get worse and fire their coaches for all we know.
Thank you, this is a really good summary for what I would
and they may be 7-4 when we play them in the last game.I would think we are ranked pre-season.
If we beat Iowa and Wisconsin, we'll probably be top 15.
If we beat Michigan, top 10.
If we are at 7-0, it will depend who else is 7-0 at that point as to how high we will be ranked.
Nebraska should be 7-0 at that point so they would be a ranked opponent left on our schedule most likely.
Breaking news. College football is inconsistent.Next year's schedule is way more difficult than this year's schedule, but the Gophers are a better team right now than they were expected to be at the beginning of last season.
I most certainly didn't say there was no way they could improve. I did say that Fleck failed this year, and I don't think he would disagree with that.
If Fleck wants to compete for national championships then he shouldn't be getting blown out by Wisconsin at home w/ a B1G title game on the line.
I'm also not well-versed enough in SP+ to predict what's going to happen to Minnesota's SP+ rating over the summer, but I imagine it will nosedive given Minnesota's below average recruiting and lack of recent success.
Correct, we can only speculate. This year I thought we were a 3-9 win team and we won 10.Breaking news. College football is inconsistent.
