The Wolves are 3-4 since the break and that's been without Russell & Beasley. Beasley is eligible to come back I think, Saturday against Houston. Russell may not be in shape to play until next week. That said, here's an excerpt from Jon K's possible trades. It's a little long, but the article is much longer.
"Rubio has rediscovered his game after an ugly start, which could make him more attractive to a playoff contender in need of a point guard. But his $17 million salary next season could give teams pause as much as it could be a reason for the Wolves to consider moving him. But he remains a trusted leader, a rare veteran on the roster who is revered by Edwards and Towns. With Russell and Jordan McLaughlin both returning fairly soon, Rubio’s minutes stand to be reduced.
Naz Reid and Jaylen Nowell have performed well this season, but they are on contracts that are so modest that it would be hard for the Wolves to recoup equal value for them. But they could be used as the kind of sweeteners to get a team to take one of the players that doesn’t have much of a market.
Jake Layman is movable with only $3.9 million due to him next season. Josh Okogie has played well enough defensively that he could have a suitor or two interested in a lockdown perimeter defender and Jarred Vanderbilt has established himself as a blue-collar rebounder and energy guy that can find a home on myriad teams.
The real question is Jarrett Culver. The No. 6 overall pick last season has never looked comfortable in Minnesota and has only played in 21 games this season because of injuries. He just returned from a toe injury that slowed him coming out of the break and it coincides with Beasley and Russell nearing their returns, making it difficult to imagine a spot in the rotation for him going forward.
If the Wolves could move Culver or Juancho Hernangomez for something of nominal value, it would be worth a strong look."
