Selfishly, I hope so. He can't expect a big bonus in that round. Hope he's back next year. If they can transition Max Meyer to be a 3rd starter that could be the best rotation in the NCAA.

I brought him up earlier about being drafted. I thought it would be a lot lower than the 38th round. Definately a chance he comes back.

If anyone hasn't heard the reason they are taking the Oregon St Radio feed is due to the fact Mike Grim had travel problems today. He should be in Corvalis tomorrow for Fame 2(and 3 if needed)
 

Wow is all I'm going to say...well that and Oregon State is really freaking good.

Just turned the game on. Raining beaver pelts all over the field. Not a good start. I wonder when/if there will be a rain delay. Sucky weather out in Corvalis.

They are good. Not giving up, but with rain etc., we are in a hole.
 

Wish I could be as optimistic about this game as you...I don't anticipate the guys laying down, but down six against this team is a pretty darn big mountain to climb.

This pitcher who shall not be drafted may be the best starting pitcher in college baseball.
 

Reggie Meyer struggled with command in the strike zone a little especially with his slider and this Oregon State lineup is just too good and too deep to really only be able to rely on your fastball for a strike. It was good to see him battle through 6 innings and keep key bullpen guys available for Saturday and Sunday. Gonna really need Patrick Fredrickson to have good stuff tomorrow as well as great command of all 3 pitches.

No just watching on TV. Gonna need Patrick Fredrickson to pitch really well and can't give Oregon State anything extra no walks, no hit batters, and no errors. I thought there were some encouraging signs from the offense building some threats and hitting balls hard just couldn't really bunch things together against a really good pitcher who looked to be at his best today.

Gophers need to strike first next game. Nerves will calm and confidence will build. I'm still confident they will take it to Sunday.
 

14 Seed Traveling across time zones to try and beat a 3 Seed at home is a tall order. Hopefully, we get to Sunday to give ourselves a chance.
 

The starter for the Beavs today, Bryce Fehmell, was originally brought in as SS. They thought that Madrigal and or Grenier would sign for MLB. Best case was to get one of those guys on campus, so when they both came to school, they had to find a spot for him. He has turned into a very effective pitcher. His whole game is movement and location. He sits 89 with his fastball and has a good curve
He gets in trouble if he pitches up in the zone, so that is something to watch for early. The last six weeks he has been really pitching well after some mid season struggles. He pitched a complete game gem last season against a really good Vandy squad to get us to Omaha. If he has location issues, he can get hit.

Watching the Texas game. There stadium on campus seats over 6,000. I love the plaza where they bring in the food trucks. Very nice. By the way they are down by a run bottom 9. 5-4
 


If we come back to win that DP followed by 1 2 3 in the 3rd will likely be the momentum changer. Looks like Frederickson overcame some early nerves.
 

Nice RBI single by Mezzinga but he can't sacrifice himself on the base paths like that. The runner was clearly going to score. Keep the rally going for Vavra.

Finally a couple of hits. Now they have to hold the best of OSU in the 4th.
 

Two on with zero outs. NVM.....one out now with guys at second and third. Have to take advantage here.
