I'd love to see Locksley and his 3-31 head coaching record get that job.

If they were smart they'd make a call to Lance Leipold.

It looks like Utah State is going full circle with Gary Andersen headed back to replace Matt Wells. Matt Wells had replaced Gary Andersen at Utah State when he left to Wisconsin.

Wow. Should be a boon for liquor sales in Logan. Cheerleaders should have mandatory birth control pills. Other than that, what a great hire!
He is an idiot that ran off three QB’s that ended up staring at other D1 schools, Kyle Kemp at Iowa State, Luke Del Rio at Florida, and the winner of the Mountain West game last evening, Marcus McMaryion of Fresno State. Then his last season imploded due to lousy QB play.
He did have some Brewster like sayings, the favorite being “big boy pants,” which led to his nickname....Gary ANDERPANTS.

K-State should look at Tracy Claeys. They probably won't, but I could see him doing good work there and keeping them relevant.

Jim McElwain to coach Central Michigan.

Former Florida and Colorado state coach. Fired by Florida in October and was Michigan assistant after that.

One thing ADs look for in future coaches is coaches who publicly went against the will of their last AD

Claeys and the other coaches have more integrity in their pinky fingers than Coyle and Kaler have exhibited.

If integrity means supporting his players for running a sex train on a drunk young woman [emoji106][emoji2532]

Asking for a friend, is there any way to keep a tabulated list showing firings and replacements pinned to the top of this post so a person doesn't have to read 200 comments about whether Tracy Claeys was or wasn't the greatest coach ever?

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The University of Louisville football team reportedly has a new head coach.

Sources confirmed to WAVE 3 News contributor Jody Demling: Satterfield will be named the UofL head football coach Tuesday.

Satterfield comes to Louisville after six years as the head coach of Appalachian State, where he also played.

The announcement is expected to come on Tuesday, when the ULAA Board of Directors and Louisville Football have press conferences scheduled.

He led the Mountaineers to three straight conference titles and three bowl wins.

Satterfield’s 2016 team claimed the school’s first ever Sun Belt championship.

Under his leadership, Appalachian State became the first program in FBS history to win bowl games in each of its first three eligible season.
Prior to taking the head coaching job, Satterfield spent the first 11 years of his career as a position coach for the Mountaineers...

Florida State offensive coordinator Walt Bell will be the next UMass head coach, a person with direct knowledge of the situation tells @TheAthleticCFB. 5-year deal, $625,000/year.

You think ADs like what Claeys did?

I bet they had harsher opinions for how Kaler/Coyle handled it. They probably didn't love how Claeys handled it either, but anyone with a fully-functioning brain knows he had little choice but to support his players.
