We won the regular season and will still be in the NCAA's, right? If so, who give a $%^ about the B1G Hockey tournament?
 

Missed/Non-Call on the Kaminsky travel with Wisconsin down 1 late was enormous. Oregon played with fire that entire possession by allowing open 3's and failing to coral the defensive rebound. Obviously, if Oregon could have limited their early half meltdown just a little bit that would have helped as well.

I've been debating that internally. Even with the postseason disappointments, its tough to justify firing a coach coming off of back-to-back-to-back conference titles, especially when the last two NCAA tourney losses came to the eventual champion.

Back to basketball, at the end of the Wisconsin game, that Badger player didn't look too tough. He fell like he broke a rib from a little shove. If he had really gotten hit, they would need to bring out the stretcher and maybe a defibrillator.
 



On the subject of hockey, I am pretty much a novice, but it sure seems like one game tournaments/playoffs certainly invite luck in to the equation way more than necessary. A hot goaltender or a lucky bounce of the puck can easily make the difference.
 




B1G will have 3 teams in the S16.
How will that stack up? (Too drunk to do the math)

It's hard to deny the family resemblance in Bo, especially when he got T'd up tonight. The refs looked in his eyes and didn't give Oregon another call the rest of the night.

I agree, there should be a separate board on Gopherhole dedicated to UWRF women's hockey.

Actually, I'm OK with the Sconny win. In fact, I'm developing serious wood with the idea of having 3 B1Gs in the Sweet Sixteen. This enhances The Conference and thusly The Gophers in the eyes of the basketball nation and (might I say) future recruits. Some may disagree, but realize I am a strategic thinker.

Sometimes there are teams that get talked about for generations. The 72 Dolphins, the 1980 Miracle team, and the 2014 3rd place UWRF women's hockey team all obviously fall into that category.
 

Say goodbye to the first #2 seed in the tournament. I thought Shabazz Napier was a step below Kemba Walker, but he's doing his best impersonation tonight.

I've said it all year, The Big East is a joke now, very overrated due to their past reputation when they had syracuse and such in the conference, but they are currently no where near what they had those days. Won't be long before they are considered a mid-major, crieghton won't be as good once mcbuckets leaves, butler likely will never be what they were when Stevens was there, even Buzz left Marquette with some reports citing that one major reason was he didn't like the direction the Big East is going, people on top screwed up with this whole realignment thing, this ranks up there with Big East rejecting Penn State from joining their conference back in '82

Wisconsin going down would have resulted a clean sweep for me. Duke, Syracuse and Villanova - all potential great 8 teams that I didn't have that far.

Just my dislike for Duke; plus watching Duke a couple of times this year their on the ball defense was not that good.
I also had SF Austin winning just on a whim and hadn't they won like 26 games in a row? Even my total disdain for Wisconsin didn't allow me to pick American over them. I did pick the Ducks though.
