2012-13 starting lineup/2nd team

I agree with everything in this post except why play Wally & Buggs a combined 5 minutes a night? Wouldn't red shirts make more sense in this scenario?

There are 200 minutes available on average (assuming no overtime). Less worried about who starts than who gets the minutes, especially down the stretch. Best guess on minutes/game:

Dre Hollins - 25
Rodney - 25
Mbakwe - 25
Austin Hollins - 25
Welsh - 20
Coleman - 20
EE - 18
Mo - 12
Ingram - 10
Oto - 10
Mav - 5
Wally - 3
Buggs - 2

Down the stretch of BT play, I suspect the rotation shortens to 8 or 9 players with the top 4 listed above getting the minutes that went to the bottom 4 during NC play.

considering Walker's injuries and his conditioning, it would not suprise me if Ingram plays more than Moe. I am for the smaller line up all the way. But Tubby, likes to go big a lot especially early. The starters will be the two Hollins, EE, Rodney, and Trevor. Welch, coleman, Ingram, Oto, and Walker the second 5 in the hockey line change that Tubby will employ in the non-confernece like always. This is a solid 2nd 5, could they beat Penn State?

Regardless of Mo's condition there's really no reason to play Ingram at all outside of injury or foul trouble. Even if Mo can't play at all EE can give you 20 mns a night at C with Trevor giving you 20 at C (with Rodney and or Oto at the 4) and another 12-15 at PF. Ingram may be able to play spot minutes but if we have to play him extended time against B10 teams we're in trouble

Are you really trying to give our best 3 players only 25 mns a night? Dre, Rodney and Mbakwe need to all be playing at least 30, especially because the drop off is so huge. As far as I'm concerned Ingram and Mav need only play in cases of foul trouble or injury. I'd love for at least Buggs to RS, and Oto's going to need to prove he can be in the rotation other than spot duty.

Dre, Austin, Welch and Coleman in the backcout
Rodney, Trevor, Mo and EE in the front court.

That's an 8 man rotation that can compete with anyone in the B10.

I don't give a rat's azz who starts the games....All I want is the horses on the floor at crunch time, and that is totally Tubby's desires.
