10-2 - tell me I’m wrong

Back to our favorite, comparing scores.

Rutgers put up 28 on both MN and Iowa. Iowa held #8 Indiana to 20 and #14 Iowa State to 16.
My take on the gophers defense not being that good has more to do with watching them than scores
And my take on Ohio state offense not being that good is based on watching them, not scores.

Ohio state has high potential they haven’t tapped yet.
Gopher defense could be picked apart by a QB who can do it. I feel gophers have to run zone. Not good enough at man to man. But not every QB is good enough to pick you apart.

against the power 5 opponents sayin has been solid. But it isn’t a drop back game. It’s play action and conservative.
Gophers need to win the game 24-21 or around the 17-28 range offensively.

I think the gophers could maybe hold Ohio state to under 30.
I don’t think gophers can get to 30.
Heck I don’t know if the gophers can get to 10!

Official prediction. Gophers 24 Ohio State 21
If I’m correct, I get full credit.
If I’m wrong, people need to understand that this whole thread is a realistic best case scenario

This is the unhinged confidence that i'm here for
Buffalo - Lance Leopold ain’t walking through that door.
1-0 and probably by 3 scores

Northwestern state- maybe better than northwestern but awful.
2-0 and by at least 3 scores

@Cal - sneaky sneaky but 3-0 by 10 points on the road

Rutgers - Revenge game at home against Athan K coming off a bye week?
14 points at home - 4-0

@ohio state - too rich for my blood
Loss by 10 that feels like more than 10
4-1

Purdue - get right by playing the worst power 5 team. 5-1

Nebraska - Friday night lights.
The steak continues by 7.
6-1 in a gritty game. I will be intoxicated

@iowa - gophers 2-0 in Iowa city when im not there since 1995 and im not going to be there. You are welcome. 7-1

Michigan state is just below average.
Gophers by 14
8-1

@oregon with a bye week. This would be a good game to go to. If the gophers jump into the playoffs it’s because they beat Nebraska, Iowa, Oregon back to back to back. Oregon doesn’t have a QB. It’s the first time their coach is with his whole team nobody from previous regime.
Oregon by 20
8-2

Northwestern in Chicago. Revenge game from the worst game of the fleck era (IMO) two years ago. 9-2

@wisconsin. I predict vs interim coach. I predict vs interim team.
Gophers by 100000
10-2

Tell me I’m wrong

Guys the thread is over

For all of you who say 10-2 was pie in the sky

It was a joke thread and you’re dunking on me for it 😂
Good thing is there are programs to help people like you

You are correct they didn’t go 10-2
They didn’t go 10-2 last year when I made the same thread
Or 2023
Or 2022

When the schedule came out, @ Ohio State and @ Oregon were immediately known to be losses, and @ Iowa was going to be tough.

Sure, today sucked.

But the good thing is this: it doesn't matter if you lose by 1 or 100 ... it only counts as one loss.

We win the two remaining home games and we win at Wrigley Field ... we're 8-4 and will either go to Las Vegas Bowl or Music City Bowl.

Not a great season, but a good season all things considered.

And we'll have been left wondering What If we had not lost at Cal.
