I wonder how it works with NIL if the athlete is being offered money from a gambling organization. You would think there may be a conflict of interest but who knows...
Barstool already sponsors hundreds of athletes. Unless there is a penalty for giving some athletes more than they give other athletes…any issue with barstool participating in NIL should’ve already happened
Minnesota's NIL policy precludes agreements to promote gambling. I'd guess most other schools do as well. I don't think that any of Barstool's NIL deals involve promotion of sports betting. Penn National Gaming has a sizeable stake in Barstool and, as part of that agreement, uses the Barstool name on gaming businesses. But it's not the same company. I don't think student-athletes would be allowed to promote Penn National, at least not in most states.A gambling organization paying money to a teenager. He is playing collage football. Nobody see's this as a danger to the integrity of the sport?
