agreed with Bob. Frustrating as Saturday night was I can’t accuse the boys of not competing. Find that balance between competitive and reckless and we will be tough to beat.
Motzko's teams often seem to start the season slow. Not reading too much into it but definitely frustrating.

What the hell is Mike Koster and Brock Fabre doing not swinging behind the net to go get the puck. They both stopped skating and koster fell down.
Lack of depth at forward may be a problem along with no NHL style large and fast goalie.
Then it’s gonna be the same thing next year. All the defense is gonna leave plus Knies and Cooley plus someone you never expect. This is the year to win a national championship.
I didn't say otherwise. Yes, this is the year. Unfortunately losing both Lucius, Broz, Cruikshank, and Perbix (solid 4th liner) means the Gophers are just one of the teams in the discussion, not the clear front runner.

The defense was supposed to be good enough that the goalie was not gonna face a lot of shots each night much like Mankato does. Problem is their D zone coverage has not been good and this PK has been terrible since the Sioux melt down.
Team deserves ripping tonight. Not ripping Cooley just saying he hasn't met expectations of a 3rd overall. Knies has been invisible too.
