Let's see if this team can keep up the same intensity as last weekend, with more discipline. OSU is a good team with a great goaltender, but no reason we shouldn't walk away with 2 wins this weekend. We've had a lot of success in Columbus in recent years, let's keep it up.

It is amazing to me how much trouble some athletes have keeping their cool when the opponent is transparently trying to get under their skin. Heard an interview with Shaq once where he was talking about some legendary players he trash talked, but he gave up on doing it to Tim Duncan because every time he tried to trash talk Duncan, Duncan just looked like he was bored. Hopefully our players have a bit more discipline than against ND.

It's helpful to put times and TV info to help people find the games.
5:30 tonight on BTN
4:00 tomorrow on BTN+. Cheapest way to get it is a 9.99 month UMN pass, unfortunately. That's the route I'll be taking, though.

The other big series this weekend is UM vs WMU, where WMU will look to embarrass Michigan after they were scared to play them missing players last year. I imagine the Saturday game at WMU will be the more intense one. Realistically, UM should sweep easily this year.

22 is still on the RW3. Kurth is RW4 so clearly the guy that should take the spot if he puts in a good weekend.

This should be a win if they play a smart game and put in the effort. Let's see it.

The story of so many Gopher teams.

Special teams and goaltending again not helping any.

This team is good, but not #1 ranking good. A lot of the same mistakes we saw early last year.

Brody Lamb earning that top 6 spot over 22.

Motzko's teams often seem to start the season slow. Not reading too much into it but definitely frustrating.

They have played almost 20 periods of hockey and it’s been extremely disappointing. All this experience in defense, too draft picks, and it’s just the same old same old.

Lack of depth at forward may be a problem along with no NHL style large and fast goalie.

Motzko will be tearing into them. Unfortunately it's probably too late against Dobes and the best we can probably hope for is 0.66 of a pairwise win.

Then it’s gonna be the same thing next year. All the defense is gonna leave plus Knies and Cooley plus someone you never expect. This is the year to win a national championship.

I didn't say otherwise. Yes, this is the year. Unfortunately losing both Lucius, Broz, Cruikshank, and Perbix (solid 4th liner) means the Gophers are just one of the teams in the discussion, not the clear front runner.

Regardless you just need to be in the discussion to at least have a chance.

Adam Fantilli seems to be way better than Cooley.

Might be the 2nd year in a row the gophers have to bring in a goalie at the winter break.

There won't be any good ones. Gopher goaltending recruiting is a joke.

So was this performance.
The defense was supposed to be good enough that the goalie was not gonna face a lot of shots each night much like Mankato does. Problem is their D zone coverage has not been good and this PK has been terrible since the Sioux melt down.

I have the new gophers slogan, “Gopher player and a shot wide”. The amount of shots they fail to put on next is amaizng

Okay 22, you scored so you can stay on the 3rd line at least one more game.
