Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

I like to swear on here, but if this guy doesn’t get banned in the next 30 minutes I’m done with this board forever.

Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

This is why 18-team conferences without divisions don’t really work.

Value of Athletic Program: MN 32 of 75

There isn’t anything preventing the Big Ten and SEC from inviting a few teams from other conferences to participate.

Value of Athletic Program: MN 32 of 75

Year after year the Big Ten and SEC continue to separate themselves from all other conferences. It is almost absurd that they participate in March Madness and the CFP when they could just own equivalents to them if they wanted to.

Georgia Tech QB Zach Pyron Transfers to Minnesota

No way. The Badgers had like a dozen QBs going into Spring a couple of years ago.

Alabama AD to reevaluate nonconference slate after CFP picks

That’s nice for them. But our team, for instance, is a lot more likely to be in South Carolina or Ol Miss’s position than Clemson or Arizona State’s. Shouldn’t we have a path to the playoff that is similar to theirs?

Alabama AD to reevaluate nonconference slate after CFP picks

In the case of the NFL, that’s just some random luck. In the case of the ACC and Big 12, they pretty obviously lose 2-3 fewer games/year than they would in the Big Ten of ACC because they have lost (or never had) any programs with Top 20 resources.

Alabama AD to reevaluate nonconference slate after CFP picks

I’m not talking about rosters. South Carolina beat Clemson just last week. At Clemson.

Alabama AD to reevaluate nonconference slate after CFP picks

i get that there’s no sympathy for Alabama (or the SEC), but does anyone on here actually believe SMU, Clemson, and Arizona State are better than Alabama, Ol Miss and South Carolina?

Gophers in Mayo Bowl vs Va Tech!!

It should get at least 3.5-4.0 million viewers. It could end up one of the 10 most watched bowls just based on its excellent time slot alone. The type of person who is in the 4% of the population that may watch this game doesn’t care about the record of the teams involved. If anything the...

It’s been in the can ever since the first of the three times the Mayo bowl passed on us.

Final Field of 12 projection (what I think committee will do & what I would do)

and this is why teams in the SEC and Big Ten will need to just cancel all their hard NC games, protect their record and take the SMU path.

Final Field of 12 projection (what I think committee will do & what I would do)

Clemson, SMU, ASU are all about .500 in the Big Ten or SEC. Boise and Notre Dame would have at least three losses (just like Alabama and Ol Miss). There’s enough data out there to know these things. Why would the Big Ten and SEC want to continue this playoff system? Get real.

    2024 Bowl Projections Tracker

I’m sure. The Big Ten just has a lot of awful bowls. They haven’t seemed to really put much effort into improving bowl tie-ins in over a decade now. The locations are mostly awful and/or stale to the fans. And having a tie-in with Detroit makes no sense when Michigan and Michigan State even...

The future of championship games is in jeopardy - Yahoo Sports

He’s looking at this all wrong. SMU needs the win against Clemson to make the playoff, and Clemson needs it too. This is a play-in game. Neither team has impressive enough wins to justify inclusion without a CCG win.

    Transfer portal

Thank you. You made my point for me. Huskers got one of the Top 3 HS QB recruits in the country and still got a QB out of the portal for him to compete with. 🤣

    Transfer portal

Yes. You’re crazy. That isn’t how Big Ten football works in 2024. At all. No one is giving a Big Ten starting QB role to an underclassman. No one. They will get someone in the portal that has 15+ starts and crazy stats for a G5 or FBS program and he will use it as his opportunity to be seen on...
