Shooter: And word in coaching circles is that Tom Crean would love to have the Minnesota job.

I would imagine Crean is interested in every job at this point in his career. Nobody wants him.

He is 12-12 in the last 24 games. That is not better.

    Serious conversation

What just thinking today and seeing the senior class and wondered- when is it ever going to get better? I just feel like there are some legitimate really good players on this roster who has a chance to play in the NFL. The defensive line has some dudes. The middle linebacker is tough as nails...

    St. Thomas recruit Ramogi Nyagodi

Win and no Tourney credit? How have any of the recent non conference schedules provided any credibility? So what would be so different?? Since UST has been pretty good, an upset loss would actually be better than any upset losses that could occur with the past few schedules. Why should the...

    The Final Straw

I think the answer is to play all of the bowls, take that date to analyze and enhance the data on strength of schedule, see who wins, then pick a Final Four. That would help put meaning into the bowls and every bowl would count because it impacts the data.

Gophers QB Max Brosmer vs WI QB Tyler Van Dyke

And New Hampshire's opponents have FCS talent and little or no NIL. I am not saying Brosmer might not be a fine addition. It's just that your argument is a little weak.

Bowling Green coach Scot Loeffler at postgame podium to a reporter: “They couldn’t throw it from me to you.”

When you consider the resources the University of Minnesota has versus Bowling Green State (recruiting budget, training facilities, stadium, assistant coach salary pool, NIL money, conference recognition, etc.)? Scott Loeffler and it's not even close. They were missing some key players too.

Gophers QB Max Brosmer vs WI QB Tyler Van Dyke

Brosmer's team finished 6-5 at the FCS level. Not sure where you are going with that.

Quick Lane Bowl Predict the Score Thread: Minnesota vs Bowling Green

The Bowling Green State Falcons traveled down to Atlanta and took down a power 5 opponent in Georgia Tech earlier this season. I believe there is more motivation for the Falcons in this game and Minnesota is playing a quarterback that is probably more along the lines of a Division 2 QB. The game...

    This is Lunacy

Had an opportunity to win the Big West, College Game Day, a potential trip to the Rose Bowl. There was a window of opportunity and they didn't get it done. Then, promised the program would never go back down. 2023 was definitely a step down and the program appears to be headed into a ton of...

Rossi leaving for DC at Michigan St

Fleck just finished year seven and the program appears to trending down. Rossi probably sees more job security going to a newly hired head coach.

How do you feel about the state of program right now?

He struggled with turnovers at Howard. It's still a problem at MN. Also struggles defensively in staying in front go bigger and stronger guards. He's a mid major player at best.

***OFFICIAL SOMETHING CALLED USC UPSTATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

You should not have to slide into a zone against USC-Upstate.

Shooter: You won’t hear a more professional and objective radio football broadcast than the Gophers’ Mike Grimm and Darrell Thompson.

Grimm is okay with football and absolutely dreadful with basketball. He whines about the officiating constantly. At times, I have been listening in the car and then go back and watch what he was all heated about on the DVR. He is always wrong. He does not know the rules or understand...

    4 possessions.

Nobody is talking about how Garcia was the person who threw the ball in on the last possession. That limits his ability to be impactful on the last play. By the time he is down the court, Missouri only had to guard him for about 4 seconds. He is the best player and needs to be down at the end...

#7 at safety is a failed experiment....

I guess I saw it differently. When Williams came off the line of scrimmage, he was picked up by a linebacker, who then passed him off to the CB, who then he passed him off to Nubin. Nubin can't let anyone behind him. The back up QB seems to have a stronger arm than the starter. My guess is Nubin...
