Post Game Thread: Oregon Fumbles TD, Blows Out Gophers

The crowd at Autzen was pretty "average" during the Minnesota game. Certainly not anywhere near the top of their game when it comes to Autzen crowds.

Who is better, OSU or Oregon?

The Ducks have been playing without Moore and Stewart at WR due to injuries, if we get them back soon the offense will be much improved. Not saying the four scholarship WRs currently playing aren't good, they are. It's just that Stewart and Moore are extremely good. Also, like every other...

Yes, although the MO will certainly be a lot more comfortable during a night game, plus it's closer to sections 37-38 where visitors are typically seated.

Of course as they say "It NEVER rains in Autzen" ;)

    Ducks Game Weather

Weather should be low 50s, damp and dark. Sunset is around 4:45pm with 6PM kickoff. So not bad weather for this time of year.

That's a big tree, beautiful. We also have some Redwoods in Oregon if you know were to go. There's a Doug Fir over in the Southwest Oregon area that's been measured at 327 feet.

The Cooler should be a good choice, it's probably the closest bar to Autzen. Haven't been in there in a couple decades, it's always had a reputation of being an average Duck sports bar with electronic gaming etc. Doubt you'll "take over" the Cooler. Re. Your avatar, The Princess Bridge was a...

I posted a pdf earlier that is a pic of my wife and friends on a day hike. The trees in the pic are pretty good sized old growth. See attached pdf.

I have a friend who searches out "old growth" forests, we were comparing hiking trails one day and I have a couple pics I'll try and find. One with my wife standing next to a log that's about 5 feet in diameter. I showed my friend a pic I took of my wife next to a tree that had been torn apart...

Eugene Country Club is a very nice course, stay in the fairways and you'll be ok. When my father-in-law (Yale Golf Team Captain) played ECC he just said "Too many damn trees" LOL Across the street from the Graduate is the Fifth Street Public Market and the Gordon Hotel, it's a good place to...

Check out the U of O athletic facilities, especially Hayward Field. Also, not sure it's you're thing, given the emphasis on sports, but Powells Books in PDX is probably the largest bookstore in the US west of NYC.

That mean's driving I-5 Friday night after the game to get to your Salem hotel. Word of caution, lots of people will be on I-5 headed north after the game, it will be dark and some may have consumed beverages during the game. Just be safe and expect the Oregon State Police to be out there.

Since you're staying at Valley River Inn, you might want to check out the shuttle to the game. It leaves from Valley River Center. Short walk and easy way to get to Autzen

Which Big Ten football stadiums are the best, most underrated and overrated? (Minnesota Underrated)

I think it's a big difference between college and pro crowds. I use to have season tickets to the Blazers, as well as, Ducks football and basketball and the vibe is just different. My thoughts at the time were pro fans expect different results because the players are "employees".......... Oh...

Which Big Ten football stadiums are the best, most underrated and overrated? (Minnesota Underrated)

Minor clarification, I saw someone post that Autzen was "on campus" that's not really accurate, Autzen is across the Willamette River from campus. It's a great walk from campus to the stadium, it's a little under a mile. Autzen has no bad seats and capacity is listed at 54,000 with average...

Coaches fired and or on hotseat

Seems like everytime the Ducks play someone this year the coach gets fired. Oregon State - fired Oklahoma State - fired Penn State - fired Wisconsin - hotseat possible near term firing Minnesota - hotseat possible near term firing Do you think this is due to the NIL and Portal? Guys that can...

That and Dante Moore came out of the game in the third quarter with a bloody nose. The backup QB did ok, but clearly with the weather they limited the playbook.
