Now that the date/time is set, let's start the planning!

We had originally booked flights to land in Portland on Friday morning, we'll keep that and immediately head to Eugene for the Friday night game. Gives some flexibility on Saturday depending on if Oregon State has a home game, or if there are any basketball home games for Oregon, OSU, or the Portland D1 teams.

We love combining multiple games in a road trip if we can, so the Friday night kickoff for the Gophers gives us some opportunities on Saturday.

We went to Oregon State/Gopher game a few years back and earlier that day we hit up Nebraska at Oregon, so this will be my first time seeing the Gophers play at Oregon, but second visit overall.

Go Gophers!!

For these late games in mid/late November, I wish the Big 10 would try to schedule it for a football game on Friday night and a basketball game on Saturday (when possible).

Just bought tickets for me and my brother. Gonna be a quick visit. Planning to fly in Thursday night and back out on Saturday. Staying in Portland 2 nights and driving down to Eugene on Friday.

Is there a bar scene near the stadium? Not really interested in bringing tailgate supplies, but might go for the pre-party the U is hosting if there isn't much of a bar/restaurant scene. The downtown in Pasadena was perfect for travelling fans before the game. I imagine there will be a healthy travelling contingent for this one as well.

As for "bar scene" near the stadium, the Moshofsky Center (indoor practice facility at West end of Autzen) is basically a giant sports bar during games. At the East end of Autzen PK Park (baseball stadium) serves as an outdoor beer garden (not sure how good that would be on a Friday night in November). Probably, the best "sports bar" not on U of O property near the stadium would be "The Cooler". Also, looks like a 6PM start time for the game, I will strongly advise you to be careful on your return trip to Portland Friday night. I-5 will be full of people who just might have had a beer too many and the Oregon State Police will be out there doing what they can to make it safe. This means DUI tickets, speeding tickets, etc. If it was me, I'd stay in Eugene Friday night and go to PDX in the morning. Wish you a safe trip.

Do arrive in Eugene in time to tour all the various athletic facilities, Hayward, The MATT and the facilities around Autzen. The new indoor football practice facility is suppose to be completed this summer and it looks like it's going to be pretty amazing.

Game time temps should be cold by Eugene standards, 50s till the sun goes down (about kickoff) then into the 40s and the air will likely be "damp" making it feel a bit colder.

Thanks for the details!
