How This NCAA Ref Knows We Are Doomed As A Society

The reason I think baseball is a lot easier is you are looking for something at a moment in time and know when the moment is coming. Pitch across plate, tag before bag. In basketball something can happen at any moment anywhere on the court. Hockey players are more spread out and there's no...

Boom! Miami Player Wong will enter transfer portal if NIL isn’t increased!

I've been thinking exact same! Wasn't Matt Nover's character asking for a washing machine for the family?

Related note, the school has to be scared as heck after Nevin Shapiro and even Luther Campbell.

    2022 Transfer Portal Discussion

I see things a lot different than you. It doesn't matter if a kid is Lebron. If you are a very good basketball player today that has value, and it only makes sense for kids and their families to be treated accordingly. While life isn't fair, choosing where one plays college basketball - if...

Boom! Miami Player Wong will enter transfer portal if NIL isn’t increased!

Every news account says John Ruiz is a billionaire, but I don't see how. Can anyone find a detailed description of his source of wealth? He recently bought Cigarette Racing, so that's an asset where he hasn't made any money yet. Life Wallet seems way to small to have a billion-dollar...

Had a few beers with an SEC referee

Great point. I'll add that basketball is BY FAR the hardest sport to officiate. Nothing even close.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS MINNESOTA STATE FROZEN FOUR IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The Gophers coach will be crucified if he does not recruit the state's top players. It isn't even an option. There's an expectation that kids like Mittelstadt, Lucius, Walker, Rau be wooed by the Minnesota coach. Always surprises me that so many people don't understand college hockey. Lake...

    2022 Transfer Portal Discussion

I love the guy. 91/52 A/TO ratio in B1G games last year. Felt so bad for him dealing with the concussion this season. He was a large reason they won the league.

    Gophers Visit Penn State (2-18-22 & 2-19-22)

Radio yesterday described the Lucius scratch as "not coach's decision" or something. Anyone know why he's out? Injured or sick?

Reusse: Once far removed, Will Ramberg is an undersized, unlikely contributor for Gophers

This is a great article and a wonderful story about a remote basketball kid. Closing line from Thorson is hilarious.

    Jack LaFontaine signed with Carolina

Kyle Okposo was almost 15 years ago so this is very rare. Good luck to JLF. What a great opportunity for the two guys that weren't playing.

D1 prospect Ahjany Lee transferring to Totino-Grace

Actually, Bob, the address change needs to be outside of the school zone. The summary says any divorce, but it also says refer to the Bylaw for full rule. It is specific that the one-time allowance for divorce does require a change of address outside of the school district.

Richard Pitino: “I’ve always said, if you play the games, they’re going to want you to win. And if you don’t win enough, you’re going to get fired."

True, and then he showed that he was way ahead of the curve when it came to restocking every season with transfers.

D1 prospect Ahjany Lee transferring to Totino-Grace

Show me where in the bylaws it says that. Because I can't find it and know a lot of families that would appreciate this. If you aren't citing the MSHSL bylaw I'll chalk it up to just talking out your rear. This is a decision that costs some families tens of thousands of dollars and involves...
