Better memories of twins baseball and two World Series. However it was a way better football stadium than baseball stadium. Best memory is probably Thompson’s long 98 yard run.
Isaiah Asuma is a freshman right? I don’t know if he is considered a future D1 basketball player or not but I have read a few articles about how he is a pretty solid player.
He would either play in the spot taken by Garcia or perhaps by Christie. I would rather have those two starting at their positions than Battle. Battle would have been amazing off the bench but that wouldn’t sit well with him.
Winfield for sure. I liked running the ball behind Faalele. Loved Coughlin’s leadership and Schmitz. Tough to only pick four. Would have added Bateman if he was on the list. Johnson was close too.
Two things evident on this thread:
1. Gophers played very poorly last night.
2. The gopher hole moderators need to be more active to prevent all the posters who want to hijack threads with stupid pissing matches over nonsense.
Hawkins is the big surprise. I was at the barn in Sunday and we would have lost that game by 15 plus points if he wasn’t on the team. He creates so many good looks for everyone around him.
I can’t say if the big ten is down that much. But the gophers have obviously improved while also playing a super easy non conference schedule. That and we caught a good schedule to start the big ten. Michigan is way down as is Maryland.
I was shocked that this was not called. We didn’t hear the explanation from up in the stands so I would like to hear more about that. But everyone in the barn was going nuts at that non-call. Glad we held on for a nice win.
