Best song played during a movie?

Along with Tarantino & Anderson, I think Guy Ritchie is good at incorporating music into his films. I'm not a big Oasis fan, but this song in this scene is perfect. (NSFW) Edit: Snatch is a seriously underrated movie IMO. Brad Pitt is awesome as always, Jason Statham & Stephen Graham...

    OLD MUSIC

My parents bought me a record set of select performances from Woodstock. Oh man, it is ROUGH. These bands were terrible live. Off key, off rhythm, just unlistenable. Even someone you'd think could hold it together like Santana was bad. The worst is Canned Heat trying to make it through...

    All Things TV Series Recommendations/Reviews

Has anyone watched Reservation Dogs? I've watched the first couple episodes and like it so far. I believe it's the first show from a major network with a cast and crew that's primarily Native. It's part comedy, part crime drama, and part coming-of-age story. My favorite line so far is when...

    Favorite/Interesting Musical Tidbits and Trivia

Thought I'd revive this thread, like Bleed did for the Top 5. None of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, perhaps best known for their song Sweet Home Alabama, are actually from Alabama.

The Fonz doesn't fit IMO. Henry Winkler has done so much since then, from Waterboy to Barry. Arrested Development and Parks & Rec are now how I picture him. Such great roles different from The Fonz.

Son moving to Minnesota in August

I seem to recall graduate student on-campus housing on the St. Paul campus. That might be a good option, though maybe it's more geared towards people with kids. I agree with others; living on/near campus his first year is a good idea.

Car Make and Model that shows someone "settled" when purchasing a car.

Chrysler Pacifica after it become a minivan. Isn't a Pacifica basically a higher priced Dodge Caravan? IIR, they both use the same chassis and base platform. Chrysler just has a sleeker design, more upgrades, and better name brand.

Combining Ted's favorite bars thread and Ope's live music thread, what are you favorite music venues? Mine: 1. The Armory - LOVE the remodeled mid-century art deco feel. Perfect mid-size venue. Plus, the bathrooms are spacious and clean, appreciated by those of us with stage fright. 2...

Bucket list, yes. But it's also a tourist bar. LOTS of cool bars around Ireland, obviously. Including the small towns. I found that Irish person love talking to Americans at the pub, most have family over here, so that's cool.
