Kyle Shanahan revealed that De'Vondre Campbell didnt want to play in the 3rd quarter.

True. But I guess It am not sure what we are disagreeing on. Is it that everyday workers would do the same thing as Campbell but that they have to stay in their jobs? Kind of seems like that is letting Campbell of the hook for his behavior?

Kyle Shanahan revealed that De'Vondre Campbell didnt want to play in the 3rd quarter.

This can be looked at two ways though. I agree that many people need the paycheck to pay mortgages, food etc. but on the flip side it is much easier to quit a desk job paying 100k and get another desk job getting 100k. After this DeVondre is gonna struggle to find another gig, or at least one...

    Pathetic Schedule

I tried to get a D1 job and stressed on my resume that the 6 year old girls soccer team I coach has never ducked anyone. We played the Tangerines, the Butterflies, and the Honey Bees. The best there is. We take on all comers. But, I haven't heard much back yet. It's all politics to get those jobs.

Drake Lindsey: Excited to run it back with @DTAthletes! Thank you to all of the fans who have continued to support my teammates and I.

Does the endowment have anything to do with the paid athletes? I asked years ago why the stadium wasn’t just built with the endowment money. But my understanding is that has nothing to do with athletics. But it sounds from a few posters that the U has been banking huge amounts of money off the...

Tell me about your good boy or girl

I thought this post was something else from the title. But you are right. Losing a dog is like losing a close friend. They are there every day good or bad. Never was a pet person but had a dog that we had to put down. Hit me harder than I thought it would. Sorry for your loss.

Purdue TE Drew Biber commits to Gophers

I know, I was being snarky. I am guessing he was referring to God as in his personal journey and his path in life. I didn't take his post as saying God didn't let Purdue win, but maybe I am wrong. I personally don't subscribe much to the theory that recruits or their families care much about...

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Twins Off-Season Thread

Yeah, and those guys both seem to have pretty pronounced splits. It is harder to accomplish this these days with limited roster spots due increased pitchers on the roster.

Purdue TE Drew Biber commits to Gophers

We should only recruit guys who don't believe in God.

All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

That is a pretty strong endorsement. If true, it also seems to point to the Vikings being in the unique position to not necessarily have commit to a guy long term. There is always guys like Darnold out there who were in a bad spot with a bad coach. Heck, already Jones already picked us probably...

That makes sense too. Both Wallner and Larnach have at times both looked like they need to be platooned.

A qualifying list of potential replacements

Does anyone play a style like Paul Westphal did? It might at least be worth switching over the channel to watch.

Shama: If there is a change in Golden Gophers basketball head coaches after this season, St. Thomas’ John Tauer should be a level one candidate.

This hire is gonna be a rate example where local ties might hurt a candidate. With how bad the Johnson deal ended up, Coyle would catch a lot flak for not looking like he knows anyone in the basketball world outside of MN.

Not sure why the Twins are looking for right handed bat. With Buxton, Correa, Lewis, Miranda, Jeffers the lineup already seems like it will be righty heavy.

All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

I am not sure which way I am personally leaning, but you can’t help but watch almost every team in the NFL constantly trying to find that Pro Bowl QB and think how much it would hurt to have him(Darnold) and let him go and then have McCarthy be one of the 50 or 60% of 1st round QB’s that don’t...

I am going to guess Taco John's? They were dead and buried 30 years ago and now the potato ole's are better than ever.

Hay is not in the barn….

It doesn't sound like they are actually going anywhere, but theoretically do people get their money back from the players gofundme thing if the guy moves on?

    Collectives in 2024

Ours is too good. Our business grads know that using your money on college athletes isn’t a great business decision.

Bill Belichick to become the UNC football head coach

Not entirely sure why Bill would want to take this on, but I think the new college landscape would be better for Bill than the old. Before you at least had to pay lip service to amateurism and the players themselves. It’s a business these days. A volatile one for sure but that benefits a guy...

A qualifying list of potential replacements

At this point I just can’t see us thinking we are too good for any candidate, regardless of the reason. We hired Ben with heavy input from people who didn’t care about, attend games, or ultimately even follow the Gophers basketball. In that case it was for political and social reasons. We...
