Nah, not just this year, any year. For me and my enjoyment I would rather beat a bad Iowa/Wisconsin/Michigan team than a great Auburn (or similar) team.
Funny, the Auburn forums were complaining during the game about all the pro-MN bias from the announcers. Positive-Negative Asymmetry phenomenon at work.
Watching the game it really looked like his foot was out of bounds on the replays, but the photo on twitter really shows it perfectly. Well done by the refs on a tough call in real time.
