Official: Big Ten is going to a conference-only season, playing 10 games

I wonder if they will leave the games on the previously scheduled dates, or will move them earlier. Starting them at the beginning of September would increase the likelihood of getting the complete schedule in.

All Things COVID-19 College Football Impact

Last March the Ivy League was the first to cancel their basketball tourney, which started the dominoes falling. Will be interesting to see if this is the start of another trend.

STrib: College, prep football in spring is unpopular option, but things are heading that way

I've seen reports that in some states, deaths attributed to pneumonia are 3 or 4 times the normal rate. A lot of these are people that died at home and never had a Covid test.

Destiny PItts: Transfers to Texas A&M (All Things Suspension and Transfer Related)

Since she hasn't redshirted, I believe she could sit out all of next season and play the entire 21-22 season and still meet the 5 years to play 4 requirement.

Destiny PItts: Transfers to Texas A&M (All Things Suspension and Transfer Related)

It seems sometimes that the NCAA makes decisions on waiver requests based on what kind of mood they are in at the moment. You would think that players who are recruited over and lose their scholarships simply to make room for a player that the coach thinks is better should be an automatic waiver...

Destiny PItts: Transfers to Texas A&M (All Things Suspension and Transfer Related)

A coaching change is a different situation than getting suspended for disciplinary reasons and then deciding you don't want to stick around. Pitts came back and played half of a second season for Whalen, so I don't know that the coaching change waiver would apply. Maybe if she had left after...

    rumor mill.......jd speilman

If someone in the Speilman family really has told something about this to Ron, can't imagine that they are thrilled with him getting into a Twitter pissing match about it this soon after the end of the season.

    Tanner Morgan

Likely a heavy dose of the running game mixed with short, quick passes until the Wildcats show they can stop it.

    2019 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Minor has been beat up pretty good in his last few starts. I'm not sure he is much of an upgrade over what we have.

    2019 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Is is just me, or doesn't Polanco need to eat dirt and at least knock down that ground ball single that scored the two game-tying runs ? He wouldn't have gotten an out, but could have kept the second run from scoring.

He pitched for Tampa the last two seasons, so Rocco knows what he is getting.

    2019 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

I would see Teague as easier to move - expiring contract and is a functional player when healthy.

    2019 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Fills the role that Escobar played, with maybe more position flexibility, and a little more pop with the bat.

    2019 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

Most people don't even remember it, but I think Tony Sparano passing away unexpectedly right as training camp was to open likely had a big impact not only on the O line, but for the rest of the team and the coaching staff as well. That being said, there still needs to be a big upgrade in talent...

    2018 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I would like someone on the Vikings coaching staff to explain why Bryan Witzmann is good enough to start at guard for the Bears, yet could not even make the Vikings active roster. When you've got freaking Tom Compton and Mike Remmers as your starting guards.

    2018-2019 Minnesota Twins Off-Season Thread

Who was that clean-up hitter ? If it happened later in the season, there were players hitting there that really didn't have the qualifications to hit in that spot.

    2018 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Escobar is a much better player this year. Dozier seemed to be a shadow of what he has been during the last 2-3 seasons. Appeared to me that his head wasn't in the game much of the time after he didn't get an extension. Maybe the change of scenery will give him new life.

    2018 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Wonder if the Twins knew about this when they signed Aybar. That signing that made little sense at the time makes more sense now.

    2018 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

The teams needs to commit to improving both the OL and DL through both the draft and free agency. The Eagles were able to rotate in fresh DL without losing any effectiveness. The game was lost in the trenches and that needs to be fixed.
