    Bowl question

I remember the talk of “the Gopher fans don’t travel to low level bowl games as teams who go to better locations”. Always seemed like “the beatings will continue until morale improves “.

Ray Lewis to FAU as head coach?

    Northwestern home games

I guess they could crank down the numbers further ... I do think there's diminishing returns and that while nobody wants a 100k stadium anymore and luxury does bring in money ... you could conceivably take that to absurd levels and just net lose fans / engagement.

    Congratulations Oregon

I think we knew it when they beat Ohio State.

Pros and Cons with the new playoff system

Something like that would be nice. Something other than the same old committee stuff doing everything they can to justify ranking their old buddies and eye test garbage.

    Bowl question

I’ve heard that but only in the context of Alabama fans feeling sad / remembering it … but not being that upset.

Pros and Cons with the new playoff system

Con: The system still rewards a combination of fewer losses + big name over schedule strength and quality wins. Texas…. Unless we go for divisions and auto qualify the playoff teams based on divisions… it’s just more of the same garbage.

Tom Brady calls out a problem with modern parenting: ‘Every time they mess up, we send them to an easier place to succeed’

I got no reason to keep less good coders failing constantly. I'd rather give them some tasks to accomplish for a while before they take another run at something they failed at again.

35k seats. Video does not look like 35k. Interesting too that they're selling this on an "NFL" like experience. IMO that might be a mistake, if you want an NFL experience you got that in Chicago ... no need to go out to Northwestern for that.

Tom Brady calls out a problem with modern parenting: ‘Every time they mess up, we send them to an easier place to succeed’

Greatest of all time thinks if you just do what he did ... you'll be good. 🤔 And ... let's say that was true? Who cares? Most players aren't going to the NFL, playing sports is sometimes just about having a good time, getting a scholarship, and not about getting your ass beat for a pro...

2024 MN High School Football thread

AMEN I dislike US Bank Stadium for that exact reason. The roof and glass doors are nice and all, but that's it and it's just another NFL style characterless stadium. It seems designed to be a pain to get around. Meanwhile places like the U, it's a joy to walk around, many area sports venues...

    Badgers fire their OC

When as a HC you were supposed to bring a new offensive identity and you fire your OC. That seems like a weak move / makes the HC look bad. It's a different vibe when the HC has a given offense or defense reputation and they fire the coordinator that matches that reputation. PJ (or many...
