    B1G Tournament Bracket 2022

Whatever they did for the PSU game, it worked. Almost 5k more than a typical playoff game the past couple years. Student section was full (I think $5 tickets for them) and most sections except the end opposing the student sections were full. Looking at the Michigan game, it already looks like...

If the Gophers had beat Illinois and Bowling Green...

We'd almost certainly be headed to the Citrus Bowl with a 10-2 record

Where did the massive axe come from?

Can confirm, saw a cheerleader/Goldy take it out of the tunnel right before the end

    Week 13 Bowl Projections Thread

Looking at what got us to the Citrus Bowl in 2014, I don't think we have a shot at either Florida bowl. We got it in 2014 because Nebraska and Wisconsin had gone the 2 previous years and were both ranked ahead of us which caused us to jump them for that spot. Now it's reversed where we went 2...

What was the most important play or plays of the game?

We didn't but we also never really hard a situation that called for it. 4th and 4 from Wisconsin's 10 in the first quarter was probably the closest but I think kicking the FG was best there.

What was the most important play or plays of the game?

I think the moment that clinched it (even though it didn't because they still converted) was the Badger's 4th and 1 confusion. Deciding to punt, then getting a false start, and then finally calling a timeout showed the beginning of the fall for the Badger's.

Gophers should be B1G West Champions

Also, take a look at the crossover games. Minnesota drew one hard game with OSU. Iowa had their hardest game be PSU. Meanwhile, Wisconsin drew Michigan and PSU and Purdue had MSU and OSU. If Wisconsin or Purdue don't play Michigan/OSU, one of them is going. Or if Iowa played any of...

    Big 10 West Title

Divisions were created as a result of expansion. CCG to avoid the weird votes that occurred in the 20th century to decide who went to the Rose Bowl. Winning the conference can be the only thing that matters, but the path has changed. Winning the West is now a pre-requisite. Considering we...

    Big 10 West Title

Need to win the West to win the Big Ten

    Big 10 West Title

These scenarios aren't that hard guys. Let's start easy and ignore situations where everyone loses out. We lose to Wisconsin: Wisconsin wins the West unless Iowa finishes with a better record We beat Wisconsin: 3-way tie with Wisconsin/Iowa/Minnesota: Wisconsin wins based on best division...

    Student Section

I think nearly doubling the number of student tickets sold will play a major role in the student section showing up to every game. Not like there is much better to do at 11am if the ticket feels free since it seems even just OSU/Wisconsin makes season tickets worth it.

Lots of seats opened up for Thursday

They just skip the numbering so that the 2XX and 1XX numbers line up around the stadium as the upper deck has more sections than the lower level.

Single Game Ticket Prices - Ohio St

Student single game tickets just went on sale. $30 (+$3 fee) for Ohio State/Wisconsin games. $10-20 for other games. Also notably, no guest tickets are available for Ohio State/Wisconsin. Hopefully that means less non-Gopher students in the section for those games.

    2021-2022 Student Season Tickets Soldout

Caught me off guard to happen so early but it’s clear students were paying attention to the team last year and are ready to pack Mariucci this year.

Here are the 5 biggest 'Trap games' of the 2021 B1G season (Ohio State at Minnesota, September 2)

Considering the U didn't release anything discouraging a field rush had we beat Wisconsin, I can't imagine they're making any effort to prevent it. Though I will say the student section was not designed to easily rush the field which does likely cause a headache from the crowd management side of...

    Opener on Fox

Just to clarify the process, FOX and ABC/ESPN split the B1G's "Tier 1" (best game of the week) rights. Not sure exactly how it works, but they do some selection to split up who gets first pick each week. Then each week the broadcast with first pick picks their matchup and the other broadcast can...

Coyle's miscalculations as I see them

Fleck had gone 12-0 at Western Michigan before as a head coach. What the U needs to realize is that they should be hiring similar level schools assistant coaches or lower level school head coaches with a track record of success. They did the same thing with President Gabel, an assistant...

Spring Ball: Anybody have info on potential dates?

With them starting on the 29th and it seems like most schools spring game is a month after, that would leave a spring game on May 1st being the most likely outcome if it happens

Chip: Can every Gophers sport survive the budget cutting ahead?

Acceptable based on what? If it's based on the fact that athletic's is facing a giant budget deficit with no help from the university because they're also in financial trouble, then you have to realize that some previously thought "unacceptable cuts" would need to become acceptable. Any sport...

Transfer Rules: Big Ten Proposes to allow every athlete to transfer once without sitting a year

I highly doubt this proposal would result in any schools reducing the number of scholarships they give out. It would just cause more turnover in getting them if a player doesn't turn out. Also, why would a school get rid of a scholarship for a player who's been on the team for two years and is...
