***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS "THIS GAME IS PERSONAL" QB BATTLE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Good enough to win some big games, bad enough to lose some terrible games.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS "THIS GAME IS PERSONAL" QB BATTLE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

This game, UNC, and Michigan all come down to individual mistakes losing the game. very frustrating.

    Where does Jackson rank?

Yeah was going to say him and Bateman are very different receivers. Bateman was an elite route runner and could always find separation. Jackson doesn’t have that, but he does have the ability to make something out of nothing any time the ball comes his way.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT UCLA AT ROSE BOWL STADIUM IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

After the first half, this felt like the annual stinker game that we’ve had each of the past few years. The fact that the team woke up and figured it out shows some really nice growth.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT UCLA AT ROSE BOWL STADIUM IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Offense has been frustrating for most of the game, but that 3rd down conversion and the TD were a couple of phenomenal play calls when it mattered.

Hot take: are these the best Gopher's unis of all time?

Couldn’t agree more. Chrome dome with maroon pants/jerseys is right up there too.

So do we love PJ again?

I’m torn. On one hand, he’s given the Gophers more marquee moments than any coach in decades. On the other hand, his play style puts us on such a razor’s edge that one bad quarter can kill any chances of winning, even against the worst opponents. But, when that play style works, we get games...

When will PJ stick up for his team?

Of all of the complaints I have about PJ, I can’t agree with this one. He’s constantly in the ref’s ear throughout the game. Complaining in the press conference just makes headlines; it doesn’t help anyone.

Is it time to admit PJ (and staff) can coach?

Michigan is likely unranked by the end of the year. Was happy to see some fight in the second half, but I don’t know the last time I saw a complete game from a Minnesota team against a P5 opponent

***OFFICIAL NORTH CAROLINA AT MINNESOTA 2024 SEASON OPENER IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The offense has looked the same version of mediocre through what, four OCs now? PJ’s philosophy is flat out broken

***OFFICIAL NORTH CAROLINA AT MINNESOTA 2024 SEASON OPENER IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Some yips were to be expected, but that was just an idiotic play. Diving forward in your own 20, not even for a first down? Get lost.

If Mitchell Jr., Hawkins, Ola-Joseph, Garcia, & Payne all return next year...we could be good.

Still really hard to predict where this year’s team will end up, but perhaps we’ll see a repeat of the 2016-17 team into the following season (ideally without the collapse). The year before, they had a 2 win Big 10 season. 2016 comes along and they get HOT in conference play to finish fourth...

    CFP predictions

Strength of Schedule has an inherent bias, especially when it comes to the SEC. I will always contend that the middle to bottom tier of the SEC are among the worst in the entire Power 5. But those teams are considered better than they are because they're in the SEC, which leads to SOS ranking of...

Six years ago today the Barn was rocking! 10 Miami vs. 12 Gophers

Pitino's issue was that his offensive strategy was to simply force the ball to his best players at all costs. Sometimes, those guys played well enough to get the Gophers into the Top 25. But the lack of any identity prevented his teams from achieving any long-term consistency. I'm seeing the...

    BREAKING: ATHAN IN THE PORTAL

PJ did at least show that he was willing to throw the ball more often when he had the talent at receiver in 2019.

Post Game Thread: OSU Blows Out Minnesota

I hope I’m reading this wrong- are you acting like that’s an accomplishment? 13-0 is a fairly standard halftime score for an elite team against a mediocre team- it’s almost always the second half when the blowouts solidify.

***OFFICIAL MISSOURI AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

He was playing a really solid game on the defensive end. Just brutal for him, and a terrible call by Johnson when he clearly wasn’t feeling it on offense.

***OFFICIAL MISSOURI AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Someone needs to count the number of possessions in the last 10 minutes that have involved the entire shot clock with zero passes. It’s inexcusable.
